What type of mpgs can I see with 7x0.010 if I have a light foot? I just ordered a set from DAP and am going to replace my 50hp injectors that I got years ago from diesel speed shop. The best fuel economy I have gotten with them lately is 18-19 hand calculated at the pump. I'm very very light on the throttle and usually the slowest on the road cruising at 60. I could have sworn that when I first got those that I hand calc'd near 20-21 but can't seem to get those figures anymore. Also had the pressures set to 310 bar at a local shop and they told me that 2 were starting to leak but that it shouldn't affect fuel economy and might only be a bit smokey on startup (which is wha…

Need some suggestions on what to do next to my truck. It’s just a fun daily driver nothing too crazy. Everything done to it is in my signature. The next things im doing are arp headstuds, new rims and tires ( 20” fuel cleavers with 305/50r20 nitto 420’s), electric fans and ac compressor delete. What else should I do ie springs, pushrods, water meth kit? I know nothing about what size springs would work for my set up so lay it on me! Thanks

I know.. I know... Its an old question, but I think I already know the answer, I just need to confirm. My truck has everything in my sig. I have an Edge JWA in the mail, so the Power Puck will be coming off. Would it be a safe guess to assume my truck should be in the 350hp/750fr lbs range, or would it be more like the 400/800 range?

I normally run royal purple, 5 quart capacity plus 1. I'm gonna run some pennzoil synchro mesh for my new re build break in then change over to something different. So I know to run synchro mesh, but I've heard of guys using redline and other stuff. What is y'alls recipes? I haven't seen a whole lot of synchro mesh options out there.

So as some of you may know, I was looking for a new truck, well that fell through so for now, I'm sticking with the ol faithful 2wd! Anyways, I'm creeping closer to 180k and was just wondering. What should I be looking to upgrade/replace/service all those sorts of things. My sig is up to date with what I have currently. I'd like to upgrade to a fuel boss just for peace of mind but other then that, what should I be looking to do to maintain reliability? Thanks in advance!

I was just wondering about motor oil. I am getting ready to change mine before a big trip and was thinking about switching to synthetic. The ONLY reason I would do the switch at the moment is for cold flow properties. At the moment, I am running Delo 400 and when it is -20 to -30 in the mornings before work, it takes a good 5 minutes or more of idling to get up to 40 psi. That cant be good!! What does everyone think? Will the synthetic really flow that much better at those temps? I have never run synthetic before.

I don't know the answer to this one. I am hoping that all the fuel coolers sold do give better mileage as they claim.I know the vp can get too hot under loads, heavy towing and so on, esp. on hot days in which cooler fuel helps in that case.Anyhow, ever notice how hot the fuel filter housing gets from being mounted on the intake manifold? Put your hand on it after a run. It's supposed to be getting too hot anyways, acting like a fuel heater most all the time.First off I need to give credit for this information from another forum when this discussion was going on. Someone got the bright idea to make a plastic piece that isolates the fuel cannister from the engine heat. I d…

My truck came with the non gated Aurora 2000... so I don't know the difference. I'm sure I will either want to get a new turbo at some point or need one. I always read about folks messing with a gated turbo... I guess to achieve higher boost? If or when the time comes... will I want and appreciate a gated turbo or will I be so accustomed to a non and want another?

I am not understanding why it is favorable to drill under the fuel module basket as I have read? Do the tanks have any walls/ baffles in the smooth flat area closer to the front strap? Does everyone like the Beans sump ? Thanks

I tow a 14k 5th wheel in the mountains and last weekend my stock clutch started to slip. The only "hp" related items on my truck is an aFe intake, 4" exhaust, and EZ so I should be around 300 hp at best. I called Southbend and Valair and their prices are considerable in difference which has me wondering what I'm overlooking. I know they're both very reputable clutches in these trucks so..... Valair's NMU70279-01-5SCE is rated for 400 HP. New 13" flywheel and organic clutch material. Aprrox $650. Southbend's 13125-OKHD is rated for 425 HP. New 13" flywheel and organic clutch material. Aprrox $850. I dont have plans for any HP add on's other than I "may" …

Looking for some advice on which injectors to go. I currently have DAP 7.009 SAC (100hp) and was looking at going bigger to match the compound turbos I'll be putting in. I'm currently running a Borg Warner S475/92/1.10 over stock HX35 with the billet Wicked Wheel 2 compressor blade. I'll be doing light towing every once in a while ~6k lbs. Also switching up my setup from an EJWA to an Adrenaline so I know there's going to be a lot more fueling customization once I learn the unit. Anybody have any suggestions on a good clean burning injector that would match my setup?

Now that I have money for once I am going to change out everything. I want to use the best there is. I am putting valvoline premium blue in the engine but for the trans I am debating redline/dodge dealer gold. For the axle I have no clue what is good. I am going to have to do an engine flush and change out the antifreeze and maybe drill a hole in that thermostat like I keep seeing. I will make a writeup on that since there is a question on flushing a 12V. So what do you guys think I should use? I do have one preference, it can't be amsoil

Hoping to hear from some of you gear heads out there who have experience with both the edge comp box and quadzilla adrenaline, honestly my head's hurting thinking about Which if any tuner I'm going to get for my truck. My plan was to get a gauge setup and go from there, if I take my local Cummins gurus advise there's really no choice but to get the edge monitor for my gauges then comp box. He says as far as not being glitchy and durable, like 15yrs durable then it's edge, but then I'm seeing a lot of y'all have quadzilla's and seem to like them? How long have you had them? Trouble free? I like the idea of the quad having gauges and killing two birds, but then read that th…

Since this post is mostly about "getting to the next milestone", I'll stick it in this forum. In the not to distant future I plan to change out my A/C condenser and compressor. With the condenser coming out I plan to pull the radiator, intercooler (has bent mounting ears from Bambi damage) etc. and change the front seal while I'm there. What else is best done with everything out of the way? Perfect time for a cam, but don't know that I need one. Service the power steering? Vacuum pump overhaul, even if it doesn't need it yet? Timing cover gasket? I plan to have the truck down for a while, so I can make the list as lo…

Or whats the most miles you ever heard on a Dodge trans that's original? Mine has 82 k on it with no sign of problems. It's been hauling heavy about half those miles.
