One day I'll have to pull my pump and re-install it just for the pics and video of how to do it. I've done 2 pumps now and never shot a single pic or video of me doing it. :banghead:One day I'll remember to do it...

Air filters Pre-Filters
No filter should be blown off with compressed air because over time you will rip the media and create a entry hole for more dust and dirt. I would rather use stock paper element filter and then install a filter minder in every vehicle... http://www.filterminder.com/

What mods for max Economy
Only reason I happen to say that is I removed the fan completely last winter and ran without a fan at all like ISX has been doing for the last 2 years. So far during my short test period of running without a fan I didn't see any gain or loss of MPG's either. As for the fan running when first started. Yes it will for a few seconds as you accelerate and then it unlocks and remains unlocked. Like in the video above.

I disappeared for a few weeks for good reason....
It's worth it trust me... You might have to drive farther to everything but you bills are less being there is less to get wrapped up with. Like here we have no TV at all and no cell service. So the only bills are power, telephone, and internet which the telephone and internet are one in the same. So basically there is 2 bills here.

valve adjustment
Like my last go around I set at .008 and .018... How I check is see if -.001 goes easy and then check to see +.001 doesn't go at all. Then you know you've hit the mark exactly... But being there is a wide range of room I'm not too considered about it..

I disappeared for a few weeks for good reason....
I can play that game too... If my mailbox was on the west side of the highway I would have a Pollock, ID address but since its on the east side of the highway I'm a New Meadows, ID address. Pollock is only like 50 population where New Meadows is like 500 or so. I'm so far out in the mountain that the only paved road is the highway (US 95)... But at least out here vehicle vs vehicle accident are some what rare... But vehicle vs. animal is a bit more common but less deadly for the driver... Give you an idea... Speed limit on US 95 pass my house is 65 MPH. I can leave home and set my cruise for 55 MPH and travel all the way to Riggins, ID (15 miles) or New New Meadows, ID (20 miles) and never see another vehicle behind me the entire trip.

Intake Air Temp
Coolant is change every year and so is the thermostat... Regardless of color of the oolant its change yearly because even the FSM states every 30K miles is service limit. By the time a year is over I'm right close to 25K... So why not I know I'm going to pull the thermstat for flushing purposes so since the cover is off might as well drop a fresh one in...

Intake Air Temp
@ Dripley I still say that's a thermostat issue... I don't normally get wild swings of the coolant temp. It might take extra temp to pop the thermostat open like 202-205*F but mine always settles back to 195-197 and olhd fairly steady... Just a cheap NAPA thermostat... @ AH64ID you might try the warm air for a winter and check your MPG as you go along. Monitor you IAT temps and see what possibly hits a high spot. I know we are travel unknown ground here but some where in the mixof temps there has to be a bell curve on performance/MPG even if its slight its there...

Specialty tools
I just use a grid heater bolt just screws right into the top of the injector. Great pull handle... As for pulling crossover tube just hook the threaded area with a small flatblade screw driver... So far the only special tools I've bought for my 2 trucks is... [*]Ball joint press [*]VP44 gear puller Everything else has been just standard old hand tools...
