2006 mega cab 5.9 Cummins with 37.3 volts at alternator?
Fusible link in the harness can be fried. 3rd gens have a fusible link buried in the loom. No alternator fuse like 2nd Gens but have a fusible link that burns in two inside the loom where you can't see. Why I say that is the ECM is telling full field to charge at max rate but the alternato can't reach the batteries because the fusible link is burnt in two.

New Headlights for Big Blue
Just remember you have all the oven baking the lens off, setting up and testing, putting the new leans on and hope they are water tight. If there is a screw up you'll have to bake them off again to fix. Kind of the reason I went my direction I didn't have the time for all this and needed them promptly to keep driving back and forth. So it adds the assemble and shipping (2nd day). Hence why my price was 750 for the set.

Guages?!
Down my a-pillar I've got boost 0-60 PSI, Fuel pressure 0-30 PSI and EGT's 0-1,600*F. Then Trans temp on the column. All gauges are ISSPro EV2 and programmed all the warning light for proper values. Boost gauge is set for 45 PSI. Fuel pressure is set for 13 PSI and the EGT's are set for 1,200*F. Then the Trans Temp is set for 220*F. No longer do you have to watch gauges I can tell by location of the warning light what to do without looking.

Nation 180A
The stock charge lead is too small for 180A alternator and the PDC fuse is too small. So the W-T mod and the PCM protection fuse is requirement to make it work correctly. You'll need a circuit breaker most likely 200A. You can do fuses but make sure to buy more than just one or two. Then make sure to care tools for said fuse so you can change it. I like the circuit breaker is reset-able works pretty good as long as it hidden from hi heat. I've got mine buried on the firewall side of the passenger side battery tray.

Recommendation on Trailer Tires
Like my RV came with load range D's which was barely enough capacity to hold the GVWR of the trailer at max pressure. I upgrade to load range E's and the drop the tire pressure back down to 60 PSI of a max of 80 PSI. Now you have flex room and no have to worry about blow out. To this day I still not had a tire blow ever either on a vehicle or trailer!

Please prayer for MoparMom
I went down and seen her one last time. She is doing OK for now Tuesday would of been her first skip dialysis which I know she can do. It's by Thursday things will change. She really isn't there anymore. Her dementia she is drifting from topic to topic. She understands she is dying but she then flip over like we are at home "Can you get me coffee?" There is nothing more I can do for her. The Good Lord just has to come claim her and take MoparMom to heaven. Yeah, it's difficult to type this message without crying, feeling sorrow and loss. But never the less I have to push on through. MoparMom has had a full life and she is at a point where nothing can be done. Her body can't do anymore. The doctors can't fix what wrong because her body is just too tired. At this point I want to remember the good things of Mom. The staff there is wonderful and doing an awesome job of keeping her comfortable and fed. I know the days after Thursday will get worse and her body will be getting toxic and she should go down at that point. So as of yesterday that was my last trip down US95 from New Meadows to Ontario. I don't want to see that road for some time. Even Eileen and I both agree if we need supplies we will go north to Lewiston, ID and Clarkston, WA. Matter of fact we had a close call on Fort Hall grade north of Council. So nimrod was passing a semi-truck over the double yellow lines and with quick reflexes I got the truck pull off the road in a small turn out without incident. I need to focus on going back to work and getting the bills paid for the month. I've also got two houses to repair and clean up. Like behind me on the floor is boxes and stuff every where. My desk is a mess as well. It's not like I don't have time now. Finally can do things that I want to do without being limited to Mom's schedule and doctors appointments. It been rough since Christmas to now. I will admit that my cannabis usage is way up. I'm so thankful at night for that herb. It settles my emotions down and allows me to think again without cry at the drop of a hat because I thought of memory or mom. Then it also helps with getting a good night sleep as well. Time heals all wounds. It only been since Sunday I found out Mom's time was limited. I know getting back to work will help a bunch. The other habit I need to break is getting up at 4:30am or 5:30am because those time I use to get up for dialysis days. I can now sleep in. I get my weekend back. Yeah, even this morning I was up at 5:30am out of habit. I know @IBMobileand @JAG1 were talking about a camping trip in the spring. I might just have to hook up for old times and catch up with both of you. There is a lot of traveling I want to do to see different people. Just never had time to do anything.

Bad mpg with quadzilla tune
There is a breaking point to cruise timing too. More focus you build to a set speed the better. Sometimes though building to high speed like 70 and 80 MPH just are not reachable with cruise timing. Say you build a tune around 80 MPH you can get 20 to 21 MPH but now the lower speed typically will be poor like my 65 MPH will be 18 MPG. So its best to build around like 60 or 65 MPH for cruise timing. This way the middle ground speeds tend to be better for MPG.

Please prayer for MoparMom
I thank you all for the prayers and messages. Mom is in good care there in St. Luke's hospital. The selfish side of me is over joyed that that 250 mile trip every TTS is over. No longer spending 820 a month in fuel. It's going to be heart breaking to go to all the places and friends and let them know Mom time is up and I will no longer be making these trip on her behalf. I'm not only going to be say bye to Mom but many friends I met along the way I have to inform that I'm not returning any longer on these trips. I thank the guys and gals like @IBMobile, @IBMOBILE-JEN and @JAG1 that least got to meet @MoparMom and get to know her. There is many more people that at least talked to her on the phone. She will be miss for sure, but her time is up and Good Lord is calling. No more struggling and juggling time. That is over. Like a funny thing I was still thinking, "Hey, stupid better hurry up and and get the 1996 Dodge fixed so I can quickly down the Cummins to fix the transmission." No longer I can just down the Cummins when I want to and get it fixed." Yeah I'll need the 1996 Dodge to haul the transmission, but no longer a time crunch to do it according to Mom's schedule. Yeah there will be a hole in my life for some time being majority of my time was focused on tending to MoparMom and keeping her going. Her problems are no more and finally get to rest her body and mind. She was spending a majority of her days sleeping towards the end. The biggest thing is rebuilding my life my way. There is so many things I wanna do and haven't been able to do in very long time like going camping, riding my bicycle, hiking in the woods, going out to cut firewood. Yeah its very difficult to let go and let God but I will in time. I've managed to save my Mother life 3 different times. This time I've been told by 4 doctors and and the Good Lord above that mom's time is over. I've gotten the highest praise over the phone from all the doctors for hanging in for over 4 years and tending to Mom's every need. It's not like I didn't try... I gave it my all like your supposed to do for family. I'm very thankful for the wonderful woman besides me. @Wet Vette has been doing a awesome job tending to my broken heart. She has done care for the elderly for nearly 30 years so she has been a huge help towards the end. Making sure Mom was bathe, dressed nice and looking presentable Eileen would even do her hair in the morning before dialysis.

Please prayer for MoparMom
Very sad news... We got to the Boise St. Luke's hospital to have the blood flow issues addressed in her legs but her body isn't able to hold up to another surgery. The only thing I can do is let her pass on. With her dementia issues she would never be able to finish rehab. With the blood flow issues she would end up losing both feet and be a painful 2 months more to live. The heart is already got the cardiac enzyme elevated showing she has had heart issues even during the time she had be in. I had to make the hard choice of letting Mom go. Yeah its breaking my heart to do but there is no way to fix her problems. Please say a prayer for @MoparMom that she passes on to the Good Lord and no longer in pain or suffering. I'll will heal in time myself. I've got a wonderful woman beside me and helping through these troubling times. I'm going to be slow around the site for a few days. The bonus is no longer doing these long trips to Ontario, OR anymore. MoparMom was getting really tired of the constant back and forth and the nasty weather this winter. No longer do she have to bury herself in blankets to stay warm. I've got to be back in Boise for @Wet Vette medical tomorrow and plan on stopping and seeing MoparMom once again.

Why I bought already assembled. Because now you have to align everything and test before putting the lens back on.

Brake Fluid - Dot 3 or Dot 4? Recommendations welcome.
Been using DOT 3 for years but requires changing and flushing the system every 30k miles. DOT 4 has better qualities being the boiling point is much higher and the capable of hold a bit more moisture before going south and losing boiling point temps. Moisture in any form is bad deal and will cause rubber failure and metal failure from oxidation. DOT 5 I do not suggest being its a totally different fluid and it is silicone based and requires different types of seals and rubber possibly. This can't be mix with either DOT 3 or DOT 4.

New Lights for my 2015 JK
Sounds like the set of bulbs I just got for the 1996 Dodge Ram 1500. Came with a little allen wrench for the adjustment of the pattern.

Average mpg for basically stock truck
98.5 to 2002 requires the DRBIII tool to read the code. I've got a expensive Innova Scanner and it skips my truck. Typically the ABS light is a bad tone ring in the front axles or bad sensor in the front axles. If it was rear axle you would of mention speedometer not working.

Average mpg for basically stock truck
Stock form they did about 16 to 17 MPG. I had kept fuel logs from back at 20k miles. Tuner and injectors are the most important things. No need for exhaust or intake stuff. You won't be flowing much anyways. Quadzilla tuner will combat the low timing the ECM provides. Injectors are typically wore out at 100k miles. Fresh injectors with a bump in pop pressure helps for bigger injectors like what I run. But typically you need your boost near zero and EGT's below 600*F. Timing does that by allowing injection event earlier and more power made on the piston not blown out the exhaust.

Crazy life - Just blogging
New mainshaft, bearings and syncros... That is all an upgrade. Just seem all my last month has been nothing but medical appointments. Barely working and hanging in there. I'll post more later. Lot has been going on and once I get some more info I'll post up for your guys.

Crazy life - Just blogging
Very true... I paid for the first set of syncros during the 5th gear failure. Then with 3rd / 4th failure I bought again a new set of syncros for 124.00 to replace all the syncros on the main shaft instead of just 3rd and 4th. Now 2nd is being a pain. Fluid would of cause all syncros to fail. Being that 1st and 2nd are carbon fiber. 3rd, 4th, 5th are brass syncros. Same fluid I used the previous time with no issues. So its not a fluid issue. I think it between the rebuilder... I'll check my clutch when it comes out which I've serious doubts there is any problems there being I stabbed that trans in under 15 minutes this last time. Slid right in all the way without fighting. Clutch pedal only needs 50% swing to be fully disengaged. Being its only a single gear acting goofy I'm betting the syncro is not right. All other gears a slick like butter. Even @Wet Vette has driven after this last rebuild and then drove again after the syncro screw up.

How to price high mileage Cummins?
So far none of the washable filter holding up. After the first washing you destroyed a good part of the filtering media. BHAF never wash or clean good for 100k miles and just toss in the trash afterwards.

How to price high mileage Cummins?
Don't list that S&B... Some people like myself will be like -$2,000 because of dusted engine. If you do list it expect people to pull the air filter look for a dirty turbo if so they will pull the price down. Do yourself a favor ditch the S&B install a BHAF and clean the turbo and air ducting.

Your best/worst camp grounds
That is me personally if I got to pay to access the forest campground it not what I want. USFS is going up in prices just for parking for a few nights. No hookups your just buying the ground for the night. So the lonely dirt pull outs, hidden forestry roads and unusual parking spots look rather inviting. Myself I've never liked crowds or having neighbors close. Most RV parks or campgrounds are just that too close and tight. Too noisy, too much traffic, etc. I'll make sure to share more of my weird little spots come spring time. Too much snow for now to even reach some of my spots. There is one right now I could reach but its cold spot. Go up the Big Salmon River past Spring Bar and there is dirt camping spots along the river. The temperatures are cold because the amount of daylight hours are short in that area. https://www.google.com/maps/place/45%C2%B025'41.8%22N+116%C2%B008'22.3%22W/@45.428285,-116.1406233,370m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x0:0x0!7e2!8m2!3d45.4282846!4d-116.1395285

1999 3500 Cummins won't crank over
Starter solenoid relay. 86 - should see +12V only with the key twisted in the START position. 85 - should show ground only when the transmission is in PARK or NEUTRAL. 30 - should be hot all the time. 87 - Should be powered if 86 and 85 are working.

Thinking about a 5th wheel or travel trailer
The biggest thing I was taught during the purchase of my Jayco I'm currently owning is to look at construction first. So Jayco was the only one at the with double square tube frame. Avoid "ULTRA LITES" frames are typically weaker. Then everything in side is heavy duty wood. No cheap thin lua panel for seating. Mine is all 3/8 plywood at least. This makes the RV heavy but durable. Then after that look at floor plans and bed sizes. I'm a tall guy at 6'2" so I wore a cowboy hat that day if my hat was knocked off easy the the items on the ceiling or roof was too low. Then beds double check some RV have some short beds. Like my jack-knife couch is ok to sit on but for me to lay in the bed I've got to lay diagonal. Master bed is a true queen bed. My holding tank are bigger than my water supply which is good rare to over fill a waste tank. 50 gallons of water can be just enough for 1 person for 8 days if done properly. I tend to prefer bumper pulls since there is only 12 to 15% tongue weight on the truck. Where as 5th wheel you have at least 25% trailer weight on the truck. Not to mention bumper pull I can load the ATV in the bed of the truck where the 5th wheel would force me to buy a toy hauler. These aren't so great either. If you have your machines tied to the deck typically your living area smell like fuel and oil. Rather keep the ATV in the bed of the truck not in my living quarters.

Help!! Truck won't pass SMOG
IOD fuse covers that plug. So if the interior lights work the plug has power. The ground is in the key panel if the headlights work the the ground it good. Beyond that is pure communication pins.
