  1. Bottom end with manual is bouncing off the bottom so it surging 2 to 3% engine load. So raise the 0 and 1 PSI near 100% fuel the cut back forsmoke reduction 2 PSI and up like a normal ramp up.
  2. Bad pop pressure, sticking injectors, etc. Another is excessively cold IAT will raise timing fairly steep. Make sure to run MPG mode. Too bad you gave up on the Quad.
  3. The 3rd Gen trucks can actually make small gains in updating intakes.
  4. Looking nice doesn't mean there is a sizable gain.
  5. Covered... Boost fooler and tuner... https://www.dieselautopower.com/quadzilla-power-1998-5-2000-dodge-5-9l-cummins-adrenaline-with-iquadbt Boost fooler alone will do no good. The ECM stock timing is too retarded for most usage. As you add more fuel more timing is needed. As you add more fuel you need to map the fuel out so to keep the smoke in check. When everything is right under the hood with fuel and timing that truck should tear the tires off.
  6. Like you can start off at +1, then by 5 or 10 PSI step up to +2, then by 10 PSI +3, etc.
  7. Make sure to carry a spare fuse. That why I when with a resettable circuit breaker.
  8. Consider a Quadzilla (boost fooler) and a boost elbow. Now you have fuel management and timing control.
  9. Needs to be removed. Then a plug placed back in the hole. But I doubt you'll fine a straight thread plug that goes back in that pump.
  10. There isn't really. There is a body plug right there someone used as a fuel pressure tap.
  11. I'm still using the old school draw straw for many many years now and no issues. I've been down to the empty mark several times. I've seen the low fuel many times too. No sump and no issue. All summer long I'm typically offroad hauling firewood.
  12. Bad idea... First off that is not a good place to measure fuel pressure. Second off electric sensors needs a bit of travel room from the snubber. The needle valve is a poor snubber for electric senders. You need a sinstered metal snubber then at least 5 feet of tubing to the sensor.
  13. Yeah, need more timing and a bit of defueling to spool the turbo to clean that up.
  14. I've ended up with a 2012 Ram Truck here with low rail pressure. Been deleted EGR and DPF. It has a low rail pressure issue... There are 195k miles on the current injectors. I'm betting money they are shot. I've made the call to DAP for bench testing.
  15. @Quadzilla Power See if we can get this fixed.
  16. Needle valve? Like a NAPA WH6820... https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/WH_6820
  17. The thing about most intake you typically don't see any gain till after 600 HP or higher. Daily drivers see ZERO increase with an intake we don't flow enough to make it worthwhile. At 70 MPH at 2,100 RPM on the tach I barely pushing 3 to 5 PSI of boost. What would I need a bigger intake for? As for WOT stomped I can race all the way to 80 MPH (2,400 RPM's) still have my EGT's in check. I'm somewhere around 500 HP now.
  18. @wil440 well at least I just learned you can remove the seat fabric and change the seat belt retractor. I might have to do that for my driver side some day in the future.
  19. Ummm... OBDLink shouldn't just stop with a P1693 code. It should show more. Just for a test pull the coolant temp sensor lead and trip an error code and re-read the error codes.
  20. Why not just measure the fuel pressure and adjust it to so in not exceeding 12 PSI at cranking. Pretty simple eh? My AirDog is set for 17 to 18 PSI at idle and cranks right at 10 to 12 PSI no issues. Most people have them turned up way too high and wonder why the hard starting.
  21. Could also give mine a try... Here soon I'll release my big economy tune. But I would suggest head studs for the amount of timing I'm running on this new release coming.
  22. Lets put it this way PSG overheating is extremely rare. I would say the fuel pressure being to high during cranking being more of a cause. No more than 12 PSI while cranking. If above 12 PSI hard starts happen.
  23. There appears to problem with the gallon trip resetting when the ignition is cycled. Then I figured the MPG would of been released for the V2 98.5 to 02 Dodge profile.
  24. Ask Diesel Auto Power being hes the owner of Quadzilla Power. @dieselautopower
  25. Part of that problem I would say is injector builders looking for max flow and pop the injector lower to increase flow rates. Makes for dirty injectors.
