  1. No I have not. First time I took it out of truck. So I have to open ADR1000V2 and then click on it and when open it asks Get information from module and Update module? then I connect module through usb and chose get info? I can get that far but then it connects and disconnects and makes constant sounds like found new hardware. Will this work on windows 7 . I feel like it's almost working but I think I'm missing a step.

  3. Having little trouble putting new flash on my Adrenalin box. I got my iquad in from dap and it works fine with original software that came with quad 5 years ago, this is first time i'm trying to load a new flash on the unit and having problems. I got windows 7. Basicly I click on new flash and when it asked for module to be plugged in it did'nt work. It just makes noise like it's found new driver to install but it didn't

  5. one time I bought a 96 Nissan sentra with 180k for two hundred bucks I mainly need a few parts off of it and didn't want to pay the $800 he was asking but I figured for 800 hunted I could fix it up and make few hundred bucks and the reason I got it for 200 is when I got there the guy said it doesn't start now and that the starter is bad but when I open the hood I noticed a rod from number 4 cylinder sticking out of block a piece of block was still laying on the radiator support, once I showed that to him and offered him 200 scrap price he didn't argue I think he knew it all along

  7. Me78569 you are THE MAN, thanks again on all the hard work. So I have some more questions some might be dumb but o well other might wonder the same thing. 1. Can this new flash still work without using iquad and using my original v2 pulse monitor with less options? 2. Why do you need to install quadzilla flasher program on desktop if you have iquad and can download your new flash using phone, or you can only download tunes through the phone and not the actual flash? 3. Is this iquad box only a way to communicate to adrenaline box and have an option for wireless control with cool features, and this iquad box itself does not store any flashes 4. Do you have to have a dedicated phone or tablet always in the truck. If not then basicly when you go home or wherever, you take phone with you and your wife or friend comes borrows your truck, then what? Is this where an anti theft tune can be used, load it to adrenaline before leaving and next person in the truck not knowing can never drive it, and since there is no evidence of a programmer in the cab they assume it's a piece of sh.. and move on to spear change? I'm sure there is more but this will clarify a few things, thanks again Nick, my mind is being tempered with

Just ordered it from dap, If I lived closer I'd come over and bring few thing to grill and beer, and help you get some firewood to keep you warm. No seriously is it not available to anyone but select few and i got to learn how to write codes now?

  10. Thank you, so if i buy this iquadbt, how do I download this latest software that ME78569 just got working on, through my phone or does this iquad module has to be connected to desktop, I know I'm not that bright when it comes to electronics. And is the software available now?
  11. Ok, I feel like an idiot, but might as well be me asking a few more dumb questions. Looks like there is iquad and iquadbt guessing one is for apple phone and one is for droid phone. As mentioned above iquad uses wifi and iquadbt uses bluetooth. So does this Iquad send a wifi signal then? to be able to connect to phone wirelessly? PC screen ? Meaning old screen that I have (v2 pulse)

  13. Thank you for all of the hard work, I'm glad I held on to this quad this long. I thought it would be forgotten. What do I need to get this v2 tuning. I have quad box and v2 pulse monitor from 5 years ago. Do I just need an Iphone or that thing called iquad is not an iphone, and v2 tune downloaded to box? where is all of this good stuff? I want it, I want it, I want it, P.S. that tune you sent me fro v1, is a nice responsive tune with minimal surge and almost no smoke. I still netted right at 20 mpg as I did before with regular comp tune that came on quad on level 3. But it was definitely more responsive.

  15. Thank you for the article, I did read through it but some of it went right over. So is this new software(v2) you are currently tweaking for Tyler and Mike and others available for me or anyone to download someplace? and then I assume i need an older computer to update my quad module? I'm sorry for these simple questions but I'm kind of a pipe wrench and hammer guy. But once I'll grasp this I'll be alright Another question about regarding current tune you sent me, is pump stretch and timing ok where they are or should I lower it like Mike to 6 timing and 1400 stretch, and tps pump min at 20 does it mean when i get to 20% load then wire tap starts to work? I'm going to stay behind couch for a while.
  16. I drilled and tapped my hubs for grease zerks and greased them last year, and the only side effect was I lost my abs after about a month, I think too much grease got tone rings dirty. I did pull abs sensors out once to use a vacuum and try sucking out excess grease, it did work for about a week and then the light came back on. And in process I broke one of the sensors, so now light stays on, thinking about replacing sensors now. I know some guys just grease them from sensor holes but I was afraid to break them in the beginning but broke them later anyway. Another good thing in my mind of tapping hubs is, you can pull sensors out and start pumping fresh grease in a zerk and all of the old stuff can come out of sensor hole, just rotate hub in each direction as you're pumping grease in there(it also may help getting old sensors out by pressure from grease). Plus by pulling out sensors when greasing less chance of blowing out seals. But I think somehow after filling them with grease you'd still have to get about 20-30% out for some room when they get hot. Maybe with a vacuum cleaner
  17. Thank you, another few questions if I may, as I'm not too bright with this. I saved this tune under tune 1 and drove about 120ml so far, feels responsive especially after I get to 20% load then it fuels harder, is it because of tps pump min is set to 20?. It did surge a little a few times under light acceleration, but not bad. I guess I have a lot of questions but will start with simple ones I think. 1 If I drive on max level, doesn't it use wire tap then? and the idea is to use can bus only for best mpg 2 according to quad when I purchased it level 1 was max mileage and I believe Jeremy said that's all it did is pull more timing and nothing else how far did that pull timing and was it just can bus fueling then (never got a clear answer on that from anyone I don't think) and most guys said they were getting more power and better mpg in higher levels anyway. 2 How exactly does this can bus add more fuel without wire tap? 2 This fuel stretch at 1800, is that milliseconds of time that it's holding the fuel solenoid open longer? 4 So if the new quad box is the same as the one I got, by saving this tune you provided me, is it same as updating it to betta tunes, or this new stuff you've been working on and everyone is impressed with is something else and I need a software update with your latest update? Man I have so much to learn, had this thing for 4-5 years now and never seen the full potential. I hope this made since at all.

I've read on bluechip's site that pretty much most of original vp psg's were failing do to lead free solder and too many heat cycles. and internals were not quite as good as they are now. there are some people that claim transistor fails in vp psg's and can be fixed, but I think I would just get a reman one and upgrade fuel system like previously mentioned and move on.
  19. I'm not planning on changing my filters till I start seeing psi drop or they leak from old age. never understood why change good quality filters once a year or so many miles is recommended but never explained. unless it's a Fram, then you might as well not even put filter on.
  20. So is there a good starting point for empty cruising around 60 mph or so for good mpg. I got older quad with v2 pulse monitor that I can adjust things with. I believe the tune on it, is whatever came with it, maybe comp 1000, and I can save two other custom tunes on there. Never really played with it too much. I've been just experimenting with stock tune and different levels. So far it seems that level 3 is where it's at, right around 19.5-20 mpg mostly 55-60 mph and some 65. level 1 as quad says max mileage is not really all that, I think I got 20.5 mpg on that one but I think I drove mostly 55, so I could of done that with level 3. So question is for us with older quad, what's a good place to start for making a custom tune to get 25mpg at 55mph. Basically if I go custom tuning what do I need to set things at to get in a ball park. I'm sure other will love to know this also. Thank you.

  22. I don't think it's your edge, but I could be wrong. I had the exact same problem with my truck for several years ended up being excessive AC noise, prior to that I changed injectors and it seemed to help for a while but I still had that same spotter you talking about, after I rebuild my alternator so far so good hope it's something simple like that. Just changing diodes only fixed half the problem, I had to also change brushes and Armature I believe it's called. I still think that these add ons like edge,quad, smarty, will make a problem more obvious ( enhanced ) and when you unplug them it seems to get better, but in my opinion more than likely you got something else causing it. Check ac noise for sure, and all of the easy stuff. I ignored it thinking it charges fine and couldn't cause too many problems but I was wrong. Took me few years, almost sold the truck and almost bought new vp, but thanks to this place all I did was injectors and alternator.
