  1. Put my relay in the same place. Pulled my power of the alternator, going to move that elsewhere someday, but do not remember where i grounded it, somewhere under the hood. Mine is an AD but there should be no difference.
  2. I appreciate all of this stuff but after @trreedand @W-Ts dissertation above I think me and the micro Henry's are going to have to sit in the corner for a little while.
  3. I am using my new oe key that that has been in drawer since 2001. My old key got so thin and rounded off i could pull out of the switch while the truck was running. I do have a spare made off of this new key and went out and tried it. Slid right in no issues and the turn signals would not come on with it out. Maybe some lube is all it needs. I will give it a try.
  4. I like the motivated part my self. Hard to get motivated when the only day you have to work is a Saturday the back to work Sunday. I am long over due on these same things.
  5. Got in the the truck this morning, stuck the key in and off she went. Stopped and bought coffe got in and the key went in about 2/3rds of the way and got stiff. I had play with it and push in to get it to turn. Figured as many starts as she has on her it is time for a new switch. I also noticed that the turn signals can now be turned on with the out of the key in the switch. So I am thinking whatever electrical switch it operates must be showing it's wear also. Anything else in there that y'all know about that might ought to replace whilst I am in there? Or maybe I am barking up the wrong tree?
  6. What do you mean by no lift pump?
  7. Anything is better than what the factory used. NOTHING does not work very well.
  8. Sounds like the Dragon was quite the find. Been a while since I have seen under 100k. Just turned over 435k on mine. Made the first half on my own and the second half with help from the folks here. Great place and resource. I like my 6 speed too.
  9. Well you will have to pardon me but true to my nickname it almost looked like a sculpture of a space chicken without its beak. And for the doubting Thomas's out there , it does have 2 legs. That is an interesting sculpture. My MIL is from Sendai, a couple hundred miles north of Hakone. Moved here in 55 or 56 with my future wife in tow. Never been there myself but my wife and her sister got to take their mother back about15 years ago. What do you do that takes you so far to build something like that? It might add I saw truck in the hailstorm. Very nice truck.
  10. I like the car and especialy the driving attire. But what is that you are standing beside in the center picture? Is it sculpture or does it have another purpose?
  11. You might find this odd, I know I do, but I have only aligned mine twice since I have had it. Once after I rebuilt the front end and once just because. The only time I experienced uneven tire wear was before I rebuilt the front end.
  12. The CKP is the crank positioning sensor. Your 01 may or may not have. I think the early 01s had and the large 01s did not. The later models have only a can sensor like the 02s. Where the wire goes I don't know, sensor or ECM not sure.
  13. Plugging it in is good, but you dont need it plugged in all night by any means. While the temps here in Maryland were down in the low teens it only took 30 or 40 minutes to get the block up to 60 degrees or so. You can leave on longer and get up around 90 IIRC but you dont have to.
  14. You keep the engine return line. You need it. Not sure how the FASS connects to the supply. Heard of folks working the stock pump into the system. Never done it myself. My AD runs thru the stock filter canister. Also I do not have a sump and have no need or desire for one. My fuel module is capable of draining the tank. I don't want a big hole in the bottom of it. Just my preference.
  15. Glad to see the adressed. It would seem to be this issue as with others does not have a one size fits all answer. So i for one will remain happy with what i have. My curiosity got the best me but still wanted to hear both sides.
  16. At the moment anything 5% or less does not have to be labeled. Over 5% does. I see stickers on pumps out my way that say it my contain 5 to 20%. Wish they were required to do a better job of labeling. I have never had any of it gel but I also do not see as low a temps as y'all see out your way. My truck loves it, but I would still like to know to what percentage it is mixed. I built a Loves travel center a couple years ago and they have a separate ug tank for the bio and they mix it on site so control how much goes in.
  17. Dont forget the limited slip lube when chaging the fluid if you have the LS diff. That can put shavings in there also.
  18. My 50's are very noticeable in the lower rpm if I roll into the throttle, up high not so much since I have my Comp disconnected at the moment. It suffers like @Mopar1973Man describes. What's the chance your old injectors were not the stock ones?
  19. I am on my 3rd at 434k. Put it in about 30k ago.
  20. Sometimes a man gotta do what he's gotta do.
  21. Yes but I am not what took place of CAD.
  22. The late 02 s don't have them. My early 02 does have CAD.
  23. You and a lot of other folks. See it all the time.
  24. I have stayed around the 1 oz gallon but not to the point of being exact by any means. I also see several places where i buy fuel mixed with bio diesel. I usually dont run any 2 stroke if i am running bio mix. Since below 5% mix does not have to be labeled I usually throw the 2 stroke i. If there is any doubt.
  25. Digging the ditches for the plumbing was all we got done during that time. We put that Fridays in an existing buiding so our site work was very minimal and waited for spring. But to answer your question, once the stone pile freezes you dont even get it in the dump truck.
