  1. I would not disagree from what i have read over the years, but mine went as mentioned above. OE VP at 75K, OE lift pump at 150K, cost me near a grand, replaced the second VP at 217K. Turned out my problem was the ECM and not the VP. Ran that VP for about 40K on the in tank pump and replaced that with the ADII 165 I run today. Just my experience.
  2. I got the in tank pump around 150k with out a vp replacement. My oe lasted 75k and the replacement lasted well beyond the the in tank replacement. I have read a lot of threads about them going out at the same time but it was not the case for me.
  3. Just having fun too. I did happen though. Blew grease thru the seal on 2 of the wheels and it got on the shoes. That was an adventuresome trip with brakes greased.
  4. Tried that on the 5th wheel. The brakes did not squeak bid but my arse made bit of grinding noise. Thanks for the tip.
  5. Going a little on the cheap side are we.
  6. I know nothing about the product but I do like the concept. I have thought about doing it myself also. To many other things in front of it for me right now.
  7. That happens to be the same one I am using. Not because I am the electronic genius be any means but it does seem to do the job. Hopefully others smarter than me will not slap the both of us down.
  8. It is enjoyable to watch just way over my abilities. Keep up the good work.
  9. I did better due diligence on the VP than I have on other things. All the bad things I heard caused me to make the decision to buy BC's pump
  10. Blue Chip definitely does NOT build their own pumps. I was a little surprised when I learned that a few years back. Back in 2010 when I bought I just figured the did. The main reason I bought from the was because the PSG WAS new and not a used unit, along with the other things mentioned above. It was one of their main selling points. They had them with used like everyone else for less than what I paid.I might have paid to much for sure but I did not want used electronics on it. I will probably go a different route when ever this one craps out. this one has seen 2 stroke for most all of its life.
  11. I have a Blue Chip pump that fits that description with one minor variance. I bought it in 2010. It has what you describe above except I dont remember anything about an angled sensor nor the latest updated rotor and distributor. Might very well have but that is to much for me to remember from that long ago. The pump has 179K on it at the moment.
  12. it would be hard to catch us in that buggy though.
  13. Memory card or no. I am beginning to think you dont know now how to use a camera.
  14. Ahh. The ones I have are translucent and look bigger.
  15. What are the little blue thingys?
  16. I used the power steering to pop my wheel bearings out. Wish I had known about it the first time I did it. Liked to never got them out the first time. Anti seize has kept that from happening again. Happy to hear it was not bad for you.
  17. Nothing like a shiny new rotor, glad I dont have to beat mine apart like you do.
  18. When my 1st VP went I was talking to the Dodge mechanic about truck and he had one is hand. Thought it went on my truck. Shows what I knew back 04. But after having a couple VP;s in my hand I never knew they were that much bigger.
  19. The OE pick up tube is only 5/16 I believe. You can get the draw straw up to 1/2", might all be 1/2". When you shut the truck all pressure bleeds off almost immediately. While the overflows can go bad it is not common as far as I know. I have a AD with quick disconnects and I have not had any issues with mine, but it does seem that many others have had problems. If mine ever start giving me problems I will change them out for push locks. A little harder to install but pretty fool proof. Dont worry about the questions. The only dumb is the one you dont ask. We all have some experience with that one.
  20. The filter canister filter should come with a new o ring for the canister. You might take a look in the parts look up tool here and see whats there. If it has o rings it cant that hard to replace them I would not think. But I have never had a problem with mine to know for sure.
  21. She gets the benefit of the doubt from me for sure. She has to punch for a living and does know how to show up 5 minutes late which they frown upon and has punched late some while waiting for someone to take over the dept she works in, another no no. She works retail in a dept store. She is a bra specialist and took her depart from 18th to 6th place in NC. She also took more sick days than allowed even though she has Dr's excuses. So she and the rules would have to get the blame and she knows some of the fault lays at her feet. There is another store on the other end of the mall that has been trying to get to come over so maybe that will play out for her. I certainly hope so. I know when it happened to me it was pretty tough but I/we moved on and it all turned out for the better in the long run. Appreciate the prayers my friend and will pass that along to her. That second thing might be hard for MM to pass. You never know. Like I said above, she is partly at fault, know it and takes responsibility for her part. It seems that there were others that were let go also. One that had been there for 8 years. I am going to try and look a little closer at it because it seems they were in or near their 60's as is JoAnn. But since I dont know there infractions who is to say what is going on. But I like you think this is just another opportunity in life but her age makes it a little tougher like it or not.
  22. Well the other shoe dropped. It turned out not to be anything I had done but equally as distressing. Turns out she lost her job due to some rule infractions. Not good by any means but not the end of the world. It has happened to me before and it sucked. So maybe we need some prayers for her that she can find a good replacement. Folks are hiring around here in retail like she does and some other stuff so we will just see what happens.
  23. I still wear the same look on my face the future son in law has on his on occasions. He seems to understand about as much before as he did after the talk. It is one of the best parts of that movie. You cant be married without a lot at times. Pretty sure it works both ways. My grand daughters know how much their grandaddy loves his truck. I try and stay a way from things I can't buy at the moment but it is still fun to look.
  24. Don't loose the funnel.. I'll bet it's $75 to replace at the dealer.
