  1. You can't adjust it parrel. Nor can a alignment. It is what it is. I think the drag is actually at a slightly steeper angle then the track bar with the 4th gen steering. Slightly slightly I do not have 4th gen steering so I cant verify. Drag link mounts under knuckle on 2nd gen. On 4th gen tie rod mounts to knuckle and drag link mounts to tie rod. This also shorts drag link angle by that couple inches. Only talking slight differences but noticably in wheel specially with sloppy track bar. You probably notice steering wheel pull hitting speed bumps? That's because the slight amount out of parallel causes them to cycle in different arc through suspension travel. You have the track bar basically fighting the drag link track bar will win the battle and move the steering out of it's way making it bump steer.
  2. I bend the long air chuck. Stick it in a trailer rail or something until the bend is adjusted correctly to air up inside dual. Seems a small straight air gauge works most the time.
  3. Camera isnt focusing on the headlights and is over exposing the lghts. Camera will adjust shutter for best exposure for the overall all photo wich is on average a dark shot wich mens anger exposure brighter photo over exposed
  4. Bump steer is because the drag link angle doesn't match after doing 4th gen steering. Alitttbump steer is liveabl but is intensified with a sloppy track bar. Rubbtbushing I consider shot even if they dont show it when tierod end is visually sloppy. I'm running 7/8" heims on my truck and have been building 7/8" heim track bars for 3rd gens because they pretty much bolt on the 3rd gens. On 2nd gens its alot of work or requires a lift and bolt on bracket at frame end the lift is needed to be able to adjust drag link and track close to parallel with a dropped pitman arm. I could see bad others wiping out track bar joints in one good jolt. Even a knew arm. I do not know what I'd do upgrade if fabrication is not an option to cut junk of the frame and fabricate knew mounts. Someone at Carlisle or maybe dodge offroad may have the right pitman and track bar upgraded mounting bracket combination to keep track bar and drag link parrel.
  5. Been getting back I to fabbing on the jeep also cleaning out my shop/shed. Kinda watching for a set of axles for the jeep. Most likely out of a dodge. So I can gear down to 410 and have enough beef to run 37"is tires. Jeep will get frame stiffners and steering track bar semi soon. Picked up the kobalt box for cheap. Its god send in 1 evening I just about filled it
  6. Ummm I was unsure what to think reading this thread tittle. Lol.
  7. Wish I didn't blow my jetta up. 30mpg plus sure beats 17-22. I threw 22 in there because a few here get in that ball park. I put 45k on my truck last year and get fuel every where dont read what pumps are labeled the but dyno cant tell.truck seems to burn it all just fine. Does it even matter? To me no. I guess it makes for a kinda interesting thread to skim over.
  8. Pull the front driveline off and drive it. Eliminate that atleast. Check for rocks between rotor and dust sheild. You've eliminated transmission and transfer and motor. Have you actually done anything. Looked t dust shields? Pressure wash it. Spun the front wheels by hand? It will let you know soon enough but in mean time you yet to listen to horrible noise.
  9. Put it in 4low see if the noise stays the same with speed. Or if it stays at the same rpm. In 3rd gear doing 35 40 Then rpm matched in 4low but youl be going slower. These will kinda tell you if its motor tranny noise or if its behind the transfercase. Not sure Im explaining this correctly To me its sounds like a driveline moving speed type noise I doubt it's to terribly dangerous. And will soon show you what needs fixed if you dont find it first. Keep on driving her shel let you know. I cant hear anything weird in your vid.
  10. 60Lube locker dana 60 gasket. I say 60 because they may not list it for the70. 60 70 have same cover. Upgrade gasket and cover together. https://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/D6070COV.html Fluid looks normal to me Pinion nuts tight? Ujoints at CV joint on front driveline? Bent dust shields rubbing rotor Any ujoint Front unit bearings. Does noise persist rolling in neautral
  11. I'd start t gov pressure sensor and transducer. I would not rely on cdes . My truck didnt throw codes for transducer or sensor and i had 2nd gear starts. My vp44 went out with bo codes to.
  12. I wouldnt discount the power steering yet. Also not sure I'd go by the indicator lights on the dash. Jack up front tires ensure power steering is full. Turn wheel slowly with cap off power steering resivor. This will purge air. Check brake resivor. Check all 4 corners for leaks. While front is off ground turn tire and notice if wheel bearings are crunchy and dragging. The bearing goes out and gets hot enough to melt the abs sensor. If no leaks and everything seems good. Bleed all four corners. Starting at banjo fittings on calipers then go to bleeders screws. Would best with a helper but can be done alone. With abs light on something is wierd. Leaks, low fluid, air, master cylinder itself, sensors. Since yours seems mechanical I'd say it's not the front abs sensor. If it's cold there it could be seals, master cylinder and calipers 2winters ago we dropped to -15s and my brake system pretty much went **** up and said I'm done. Calipers leaked master pretty much everything with a rubber seal gave up.
  13. Is the under 45 crowd making a new wagon? I'm impressed by both set ups. Led and hid. Will hid get warm enough to melt snow. That would be my only draw back from going led
  14. I think Mike was saying youd like the lights but I'm not sure. I think the phone is set on her mode or is focusing on the dark areas to pic up the stray light. Phone may or may not be intensifying the scattered light. Does appear to be on far edges of the lense I to would be curious what they look like coming head on. Though to me on the wall they looked adjusted alittle high. But I have no clue the actual right way to set them
  15. Looks pretty darn good to me. Looking forward to hearing more.
  16. I agree about proper installation. I actually called and asked about lights blinding people on low. They said installed a adjusted correctly there are no issues. Spent 15 minutes or so talking lights with a guy. You have any pics of the hid burning next to the halogen? Can you see alot better now? Was it worth while? You gota remember this forum has a handful of guys on it that are old and done it all. tons of great info provided but they all tend to do the anything and follow eachother often times it is best to get in the wagon and be like the crowd but not always. Plus I'm not always wanting to go the same place the wagon goes
  17. Put my driveline on so I yanked the tcase into gear and no 4wd indicator on the dash. Mines a 02 non cad so no vacumn actuator in front axle. But it got me thinking more on replies here and if I have a vacumn line off. Sure as chit one of lines coming from under the drivers battery was off. I hooked it back up. Still no 4x4 indicator but blow by was reduced a ton. Or appears to be reduced also thinking truck is running better that's probably just in my head. The 90deg rubber boot coming off the vacuum pump looks shriveled and sad I should replace it. Thanks for help and not telling me my truck needs a head rebuild
  18. Thanks. I'll check it out for vacumn leaks. And look into vent mod
  19. I payed 200 for my smarty
  20. No time. I've rebuilt myself and they tend to grenade inside a year after I rebuild. Not sure why that is. Technician error I suppose. Lacking time I rotated tires yesterday on the jobsite. Not even sure how I'm going to get to six states by 5 this week to pick it up. Its actually a driveline I fabbed. Driveline guy was impressed that I built it. Yes that bottle Jack's about to fall Might do something about my t800 lights first
  21. Thank you. I'll watch it and run it
