  1. Buy a Quadzilla tune it properly and you won’t ever have to worry about Egt’s.
  2. How is it returned into the filler neck? A T put in on the smaller hose on the filler neck? My fuel runs hot to. Pulls and returns in the basket.
  3. That .05 is at the high limit. Do the W-T ground mod then retest. I wouldn’t be surprised if it fixed your lockup issue.
  4. Looks like you guys are have a blast! Beautiful area you’re at. Makes me wanna hookup my trailer and get out of town.
  5. The W-T mod is a must on these trucks.
  6. What is your AC noise reading? Have you done the W-T mod?
  7. On the 98.5- 02 I would see if the wait to start light comes on immediately when the key is turned On. If it does your good. If not the ECM is on its way out or done. Does it fire right up? Or long cranks? Check for blow by through the oil cap. Bump the ignition without starting it but leave the key on does the lift pump run for about 20 seconds? If it doesn’t the injection pump could be short lived. Do all the body lines match up? Check for body repair. IE bondo. Could be hiding a huge rust problem. Are the finders and door gaps equal distance apart from top to bottom? Do the doors close easily? Check the frame for any kinks. Are the tires all wearing evenly? Test drive. This will give indication of a wreck. Does it shift through all the gears properly? Even under a load? Is there a goose neck or fifth wheel hitch? Does the body sag anywhere This will tell you if it towed a lot. Check all the fluids. Ask for receipts for service and repairs. Look under the dash for any shady wire repairs. Same under the hood. Those can cause a lot of heartache. They are good trucks and will last a long time. If they were taken care of but that’s with most vehicles. These are just a few things I check when purchasing a vehicle.
  8. I’d go with the 150. If you ever do any more upgrades you’ll have the fuel to support it. While also keeping the electronics on the VP44 cool. I wish I had gone with the 150. Probably will upgrade mine soon.
  9. I replaced my injection pump back in May. After putting it in when the exhaust break would disengage around 25 mph the engine would idle down almost to the point of dying then jump up like hitting the throttle real quick. Over time it got worse. Would die going into gear especially when the air was on. Occasionally it would die going into a turn letting off the throttle. It typically only got real bad when the outside air temperature was above 85°. The pump is tested in a 70° room is what the rebuilder said. Last Saturday I swapped out the pump through warranty. So far so good no more issues. My injectors are less than six months old. The old pump went out a month or two after putting the injectors in.
  10. If you see any movement in the joint where they go into the cups they are toast. Everything should be tight. Check the front drive shaft as well.
  11. I hear ya! My Blue chip pump I put in back in May has never worked right. When the exhaust break shuts off at about 25mph the engine idle drops way down then jumps up causing a jerk every time. Going from drive to reverse and vice versa the engine dies. Sometimes it will die slowing down for a turn. That’s always fun with no power steering. It only starts doing that when the outside temp gets above 85-90 degrees. Waiting on Doug to send me another pump.
  12. Sorry for your loss.
  13. It’s not that hard. You have several people on here that are running them. Every truck is different. The Quad gives you the ability to customize YOUR own truck. To be honest I’d probably sell my truck if I didn’t have the Quadzilla. It works that good!
  14. If you’re WTS light isn’t coming on. More than likely you have a bad ecm and or pcm.
  15. Happy 4th from Commiefornia! God bless America!
  16. With the Quad you could put 7x.10’s ,150 hp, injectors in and tune it down. Then later put a bigger turbo in. Another pro having a Quad.
  17. My truck on flat ground floats around 25-30% engine load. Try raising yours to 30 and test on a flat road. I set my cruise control so the throttle stays pretty even to maintain cruise mode.
  18. Start at 30% I wouldn’t go much higher than 32. I’m running at 32% because of my larger than stock tires.
  19. 15 degrees at cruise @2,000 rpms is pretty low. Even pulling my travel trailer on flat ground My light load timing runs about 23- 24 degrees of timing but I’m running studs. My light load limit is set at 32%. My base scale at 1,500 rpm starts at 16 degrees but my injectors are set at 320 bar. You should be fine running 20 degrees of cruise timing at 2,000 rpms. What does your base timing scale look like?
  20. Nice! I’m still driving around in my low mile 262,000 gem! ? That’s awesome, congratulations!
  21. Just ordered a pack of 3 off Amazon. $35 shipped. Thank you gentlemen.
  22. I would get ahold of @dieselautopower very helpful and knowledgeable guys. Plus a site sponsor.
