Injectors stuck....cannot remove?
'Mopie' (Michael Nelson) gets the credit cause he first told me about the pipe trick. And IBM adapted it to work on the 24 valve style.

If you could go back in time when your truck only had 63K miles
That's about right. not much inflation, must be dollar devaluation.

If you could go back in time when your truck only had 63K miles
I'd keep it garaged and wait when newer trucks cost 200 grand with three times EPA stuff and sell it for 100 grand.. Everyone will be jumpin' for it.

EPA orders VW recall on Not So Clean Diesels
We had an 06 Subaru Forester that would not get out of our road in snow. It would make it about half way and slide sideways. That car got totaled by a tailgator that was on the phone so we bought a newer Subaru Outback that acts just like a little snow Cat. Goes anywhere almost. So just wanted you to know before you commit. The Outback is a much better car in how it feels too.

Snap On tools are the best
I personally could not believe how easily the new tools helped yesterday. It is as though a guy that does it for a living designed them cause thing is..... they worked really well. Other thing I noted is the way Snap On does a large easy to read labeling of what size the tool is on all the ends/ sides. Thing is... these newly discovered tools makes a guy wanna start wrenchin more often. I had no idea what Snap On was all about till yesterday.

Snap On tools are the best
I love my new tools so much I can't wait for my next injection pump replacement Yeah just those tool drawers alone must set time back a couple notches.

Snap On tools are the best
Fist time ever I went into a Snap On tool van. I was very very impressed. He Had every tool imaginable for every situation. A real experience, it was like Christmas in there (no disrespect to our Lord), but it was beautiful seeing that. He even repaired an old Snap On torque wrench that was 20-30 years old. Took it all apart and replaced everything under warrantee while I waited. He went on to test its accuracy and is right on the money on his gauge. He even had a gear wrench with such small clicks to the ratching action that I could easily tighten the top injection pump mounting bolt in a small space between the intake plenum and the fuel supply line. It was perfect. The ijection pump wrench SP-144 is important to buy as well. I reaches right up under and behind the pump to get the hard to reach bottom mounting bolt as we call I,t even tho its a bit behind the pump making it tough to get to..

Nv5600 becareful who you let build
That's amazing. Just another reason to be careful who you let out work to. I just paid $3400 for my Getrag rebuild. I brought it to Source automotive thinking they'd do the work, but no, they shipped it out to a place called Larry Morton Transmission who I had do one other trans in the past. I was very upset to say the least. So you have to watch out they don't start shipping out all their work too. I nust say that Source Automotive has always done top notch work for me. Always. Keeping my fingers crossed this trans was done right, but it does 'pop at times going into gear and has a slight grinding sound under a load going up hill. Only I know the truck well enough to hear it.

Injectors stuck....cannot remove?
Nothing like popping injectors and getting a redneck compression test at same time. Make sure all neighbors are indoors. Possible those O rings turn into hard rubber over time. I would soak a bit of oil down around ea. one for an hour or so.

Injectors stuck....cannot remove?
What about above the O ring? And then why is Sooxies having a problem?

Injectors stuck....cannot remove?
Mike I did some reading on it and said that if injectors have been in for a long time they can rust a bit making them hard to get out. Said to use the pipe trick w/ washer and lug nut, you told me too, or buy a puller which is basically same thing. Also to let oil soak around them too. Eric said they want old ones back but not scratched or beat up to get credit for them they want them to look clean and pulled out proper way. A lug nut has the tapered tip so it keeps the washer centered when tightening and pulling out.. that way washer won't score up the injector threads on top when pulled up.

p122 and engine surging
Can you explain a bit more? Are you talking about inside the PDC box, that bolt you use to power the lift pump?

Injectors stuck....cannot remove?
Are you using something to pry up with? Not recommended. I cut a piece of heavy pvc pipe or pvc straight coupling cut to the right length and fits over the injector with a big washer on top you tighten the nut down and it should lift right out. Some oil soaked around ea one can't hurt for awhile before you try is good. My injectors had around 425- 450 k miles and they came out nicely. At first I tried pulling to no avail. but the pipe and washer worked real well.

1998 12v quad cab opening doors?????
I've been looking too and noticing a lot of 2nd gen 12 valves that are molested or beat. When a good one comes along it's usually gone the next day. I realized you have to have money ready before starting to look. and the ones taken care of and still original are asking more money.

IBM 's above information should be a a sticky stuck article for sure. Thanks Dan.

Thoughts / Prayers to those that live below Oroville Dam
I know it's important more now a days than ever to keep God in our hearts and teach your children the right way to pray for those polluted by television. Polluted by evil factions spewing off 'unmoral' as if a principle of goodness. Our Gov't has betrayed us, taken excellent benefit at the expense of our future. At 66 yrs old I can remember back when Yosemite was in a much more pristine state of wildness. Revisiting 40 yrs later I was shocked at the degree off general loss how it was so much more alive when I was young. Was not a drought year that year either.

We have a Governor Brown in Oregon too. She is a Lady in charge of our state but is a bit confused about things seeing as how she can't decide between men or women and is already defying our President making Oregon a safe haven for illegals, terrorists and criminals.- stumble on acceleration
It still amazes me how much Dodge engineers didn't bother to design the fuel system to take care of the VP's requirements. Maybe there was no engineer on it. When Dodge first used the 24 valve, Cummins must have sent some fuel spec. requirements for the Bosch VP44. Was Dodge negligent? I don't know.- Block heater temp
I like the block heater for working on the engine in winter. Really helps if you get a tarp up over the open engine hood and down the sides. Keeps a lot of warmth inside. I learned this only cause my shop was too full of stuff to get truck inside. I only hoard stuff for trucks- stumble on acceleration
That is the way I think it is too. I had to buy a Harness and relay and install it correctly. I carry an extra relay with me for good measure.- 04 keeps eating turbos
I would vote that Dripley is correct unless you have bad air filtration. It helps to idle for about 10- 30 seconds to help with Turbo cool down before shutting down engine.- Guest house flooded again...
Most of it comes in from the left side where the small canyon behind there right? Be worth a try running drain pipe snaked around the monster boulders. As long as it's deeper than the floor and has an outlet below. stay out of utilities along the driveway or call for locate. I need a rented trac hoe and maybe 4 hundred bucks in pipe and a load of drain rock or use Easy Lay drain pipe which has the aggregate around each pipe already. Aggregate is packing popcorn with a netting to hold around the pipe. Stuff really works too. Dripley is Boss, do all he says as long as he keeps coffee hot. - Thoughts / Prayers to those that live below Oroville Dam
