Front bumper
How about deer whistles at $29.95 for a pair or place a whole row on the front bumper?

Vibration
I got rid of my vibration by re centering the front axle/ differential to a point where the wheels were both even on the front fender sides. I had one wheel and tire sticking out 3/4 of an inch more than the other side when the truck was at rest on the ground. Soon as I centered it back in place it stopped and hasn't come back in many years. I re centered by adjusting the track bar.

RANCHER DIES IN SHOOTOUT WITH DEPUTIES PLANNING TO KILL BULL
Does not add up because...... How much of a threat is a bull with two broken legs? No decent hard working rancher is going to let his bull suffer and shoot police officers instead. And if it was so dark wouldn't the rancher get closer to explain what he is doing with the rifle to see anyway? My wife and I think this is too sad

Total Meltdown
don't bother with buying low voltage wire for dc.... use old construction cords instead. Nice sheathing on there and everything.

Good read Cowboy, Thank you The other day while over worked, not rested up, I may have accidently deleted a short post you made. No way of knowing for sure.... I just happen to read about one of your posts disappeared somewhere and was asking about it. I think it was me Sorry if it was.......

can't wait to go travel/ camp again...
Yeah not the best thing. Really blew it. But when you think about it our trucks help keep people making money to stay in their homes. What better ecology environment is there than home? When our trucks run efficient and powerful enough to take care of the family, the business it is clearly ecologically sane in this respect.

can't wait to go travel/ camp again...
Yep, I can tell I need a break when I accidently blew my exhaust at a Pruis driving client, right when she walks by, they want an eco friendly new home built. Boy was that a mistake.

can't wait to go travel/ camp again...
I'm ready for a long break after so much overtime. Sometimes as much as 40 phone calls a day and every other one can be an issue. Man alive...... I sometimes think success ain't worth it. Now that summer crowds are gone I'm ready to load up and go places, take it easy for awhile.

Install Tips and tricks?
Put 1/2'' ball valves on each side of the filter and LP then you won't loose prime on the engine side.

Need to stay with this forum. It can help save you money by teaching you loads of stuff about your truck....... avoiding the money grabbers. That is the first law around here that we all try saving you grief and expense with your truck. Good grounds, good clean connections everywhere helps stop those wild haired confusing mysteries about your truck. It's amazing how many places will sell what is called a' good alternator' when in actuality it shoots out too much AC voltage, only to find out later it shortened the life of your expensive electronics. Seth, look up Timbo apps. and check the ac volts coming from the alternator. The alternator does not have a separate ground so it grounds thru the mounting bracket (painted) causing sometimes a poor path for the batteries to absorb the AC noise.

Tanks Bill for the link. There is a lot of good reading in that publication and our childrens schools ought to be subscribing to it.... get their heads out of the Hutton Tutton and back on to clear path.

John Deere 6430 Tractor
Symptoms like that tell me dirt is in the tank clogging the fuel pick up. I've seen it before on a JD and on another one I bought used. Some have small screened pick up tubes that if the tank has any dirt will clog pretty regular I pulled the tank on one cause of so much dirt.

Frog, very interesting project, hope you post up pics as I think that's nothing but cool

Need to Test Alt.
Bad grounding of the alternator causes additional AC noise and so does bad grounding to the engine, truck frame and truck body from the batteries. On mine I found that the painted alternator mounting bracket was causing a poor ground to the engine block so I ran an added ground from the alternator housing to the battery. To check for a poor connection in a ground you use the OHM meter. Batteries should be disconnected because any voltage being sent thru the wiring during a test will damage the volt meter on the OHM setting. On the volt meter set for OHM's, take the two probes and touch them together to learn what it should read with a good clean connection. Should say Zero OHMS on good clean contacts and good clean grounding paths in the wiring. Very basic stuff here but it's difficult for some like me who have to rethink the basics again and again to test things properly.

Is this the 4th Blood Moon now? The one that marks the time Jewish people are talking about?

VP died last night
Better ground connection from alternator to battery will help reduce some AC noise. As does having good grounding thru out the rest of the truck helps. I tested my alternator ground since it grounds only thru the engine mounting bracket and found a lot of resistance. I guess due to the painted coating on the bracket. Disconnect the batteries and check with an ohm meter between the negative battery clamp and alternator housing. That's how I found a bad grounding there. I ran a separate ground wire from back of alternator housing to neg battery post . I believe a separate alternator ground wire is a good thing.... since its kind of like mike fighting forest fires.

Greaseable UJOINTS
Hang in there John, I know there are many times I've had stretches with many trouble free miles.

For those of us who turn wrenches.
Interesting reading. Thanks Killer. BTW, Paint sprayer works like a dream. A small trick after cleaning and blowing out the water with air you unscrew the bottom check ball and housing, turn sprayer upside down and fill the piston with the TSL lube. I think it does fill/ lube the piston and soaks the leather seals and plastic rings.

New CCW
I was surprised as I don't see it much around here. Just bought a Golden Boy and they would not let me carry it to the front door of the store. I'm glad for folks that CCW.....makes for a safer world.

Changes in the "fleet"
Nice! Dave that block of wood is to save the parking brake because you can't tell on a Cummins if you forget to release them. So best to use the block . Only takes about 10 to 15 miles and you have worn out parking brakes. Don't ask how I know.

Winter is coming
I forgot all about those drain slots. Funny, I remembered someone telling about this oil trick in the doors but I've forgotten to do it for a few years. CT, Thanks for the tip.....always looking for something to learn about. Will look it up.
