I need to replace my headliner in my 96 Ram. The visors have some holes in them also, so I figured I'd do them all at once. How does the visor fasten together? It looks like they snap together. Bob

  2. I have a glowshift egt gauge that has started acting weird. I hate these gauges and will never buy another, but I'm curious if it is fried or if something is interfeering with it. It works normally, but when under light acceleration or maintaining constant speed, it pegs out at max temps. Once I let off the throttle, goes to current temperature, or if I'm more aggressive in acceleration, it returns to normal temp also. I'm horrible with electronics, so I need your help to determine if its failing or not. I've had other glowshift gauges in the past, all have failed, this is my last remaining one. The last one the needle just bounced everywhere, there was no …

  3. Only because I'm adding HIds to my current ones. I went the lower budget sets from Amazon as I can't afford the big ones right now. I'm going to need a new VP44 soon and also a set of tires. After reading some of the posts here, I decided too go with the H1 35 watt version and got a relay. I also got a pair of 9004 headlight extensions so I can tap off my light circuit for the relay and magnet for the high beams. Anyway, I plan to put my old lights back in so I can take my time getting the projectors fitted and adjusted properly. I decided to try to clean the lenses before putting them back in and got the turtle wax restorat…

Sometimes when I turn my AC / heater on off knob on there is a delay for it to go on. Not all the time but once in awhile. Usually if its on and I turn the ignition switch on it goes on normally. After you drive about 30 sec 1 minute or so the ac and blower will then go on Its not the blower fan speed knob but the top on/ off knob Anyone had this issue? Bad blower motor resistor?

Last year I installed new Rancho shocks. I'm still bouncing. If I cross an intersection at 30mph +, the crown of the cross street will cause me to bounce up and down 4 or 5 times. If the fifth wheel RV is in tow, a concrete interstate with it's uneven seams is horrible. I don't remember which Rancho shock model I bought. They're not the adjustable model though. Suggestions?

My original seat cushion was SHOT! I've been wanting to replace this for some time, but I hesitated dropping the money on a cushion. This was very simple to do and it only took 45 minutes from start to finish. The bottom is easily removed with a 10mm socket, there are 4 bolts that are easily accessed from underneath the seat. With the seat removed, the cover was removed by pulling the clips attached to the fabric that was secured to the metal frame. The fabric cover is held onto the cushion with 2 Velcro strips and 3 hog rings. The replacement cushion came with replacement hog rings. The 4th picture is of the rings, sorry, I didn't realize it was so …

So, I’ve had ABS and brake lights on in the instrument panel since I got this truck and have read lots of threads on how to diagnose and repair the issue. My module seems to have been sent off for repairs before. Looks like the “technician “ cut through the top cover and attempted a repair without opening up the module. I have tried to open the top cover and have all the screws out but can’t seem to get the cover off. I think the connector for the pump motor is attached to the circuit board and must be left attached to the top cover and pulled through the bottom part of the module but I haven’t been able to accomplish this yet. Has anybody opened one of these up …

I got my new Autometer "A" pillar triple gauge mount today with gauges and was wondering how you guys got the wiring and tubing through the dash? I am guessing drilled a hole somewhere to manipulate the wires and such through? I am going to try to install the Trans. Temp, Boost and Oil Pressure this weekend hopefully, if things go right. Thanks for help! Steve

I realized the other day that I haven't heard my fan kick in lately. When the truck was cooled off I grabbed the fan blade and the was quite a bit of resistance. Wouldn't spin freely at all. I haven't had any heating issues, but was wondering if there was any other way to test it. Bob

(5pages when searched here on term lug or nut. But not "lug nut torque). Service manual states 135 for 2500. 135 I hope isn't a typo. Does 135 sound right for stock alum rim?. To me sounds like to much. 135 a good number? Hate to do doubt the manual but.....

I replaced my compressor today. Been working fine at idle on the job. But drive at rpm for quarter mile and the cold air goes away. Pretty much figured the clutch was shot and slipping since the clutch could not keep up with engine rpm after a short drive. Never made any funny noises and worked fine parked. Took the old one off today and here is what it looked like. A touch off center don't you hink. Plus it was leaking some oil which that I attributed to the engine. Anyway I drained the oil from this one and got an oz and a half maybe. Wish there was a dipstick for situation.

  16. Has anyone with factory fog lights on their Sport truck ever installed those aftermarket LED light assembly's? I can find some for the non-Sport trucks but nothing for the Sport trucks. (different mounts and assembly) At this point I'm simply looking for suggestions.....but not interesting is hacking things up under the bumper either. So its gotta fit.

  17. I've always pondered why the AC dryer/accumulator hanging on the firewall is so close to the exhaust. Logic tells me that this wouldn't be a great design when you're asking the condenser to cool the freon down so it can return into the evaporator...only to have it pass right next to a 800-900* exhaust along its way. Seems kinda counter productive... Anyways, I had some extra heat insulation material for protecting things from direct heat and thought, why not wrap it around the dryer/accumulator to better protect it from the hot exhaust. Is there something I'm missing? Would this be a problem I'm unaware of? Would this even help? I've heard of people wra…
