Hey guys last month my fiancé and I had a gender reveal for our little girl we are having in August. We thought a burn out in my truck would be a cool idea for revealing the sex of the baby, I did a hand full of practice runs and on the 2nd and 3rd practice runs my truck would die when I got off the gas. I had to crack 3 injectors lines and reprime the fuel lines. Then it fires back up. It also happened when we did the burn out for the gender reveal and also happened when racing a Duramax, it took him quiet a while to catch back up but he also got to tow me home. 99 2nd gen 2wd dually. 365k miles. Bonestock besides 4" straightpipe, S&B Intake, and quadzilla adrenaline V2. In the video, I'm running the "stock injector race tune" from me78569 that i downloaded from here. Turned all the way up to 5: Im maxing out at 19psi of boost. My fuel pressure sporadically spikes down to 7psi. And the truck doesnt blow any smoke (not that I care, just concerned it's running lean because i feel like it should be fueling for 35-40psi from what I've read) Any idea what's wrong? MAP sensor? It acts like this even in the default power levels, cranked up to 11. No CEL, but I am getting a p1693 code on my CTS2 moni…

Looking for suggestions. Lots of info here, but hard to find a specific good parts combo for a relatively minor build. My daily driver 2wd 5spd would be a lot more fun with a bit more power. I'm thinking 100hp over stock. Just installed a Valair 13" clutch. Have a wastegate actuator regulator that just showed up in the mail. Truck has a 4" exhaust, gauges, Smarty S04, an air dog factory replacement lift pump (100 gph) mounted to the frame by the tank. Was given a K&N cold air intake but not yet installed. Any thoughts on the least expensive way to reach my power goal? 600 hp would be great, but my budget is very limited at the moment and it is my daily driver. 17.…

I just installed a new high idle switch and it reads the intake air temp fine but shows 188 on quad all time and cluster temp stays cold! The lights work when u switch it over to high idle but doesn't do anything there either. I emailed the support but its been like two weeks and no response!

I’ve been having an issue with my truck where most of the time while cruising I’m at around 28-30% engine load and you can just “feel” that the truck is having to work harder to keep going. Other times I’ll be at around 22-24% engine load and the truck just wants to go. It’s not my brakes hanging up as they are never hot and they have new calipers on them in the front and the rear drums don’t do anything anyways (I think the adjuster is rusted so they don’t actually hit the drum ?). I’m leaning towards it being an electrical connection problem but not sure where to start. Anyone’s help or experience is well appreciated! And yes I have fuel pressure my sensor just ran…

I'm progressing on my streetrod build and am running into space constraints with where the engine sits relative to the 1950's body. I know I CAN move the engine back with new engine and tranny mounts, but would prefer to not go that route. I've already decided to use a different RAD with electric fans in place of the stock fan for space, but need more if I want to not move the power plant. I've got 4" to work with. So a few questions for the great minds than mine leaving the power plant in place and having room for the RAD and AC condenser up front where they belong: 1. My first turbo diesel a 01 3500 w some modes to pull better. A Smarty programmer, S362 turbo, stk head bolts, stk injectors, 5' straight pipe exhaust axle dump, 3 piece exspantion joint exhaust manifold, BD exhaust brake. My questions are, when applying the exhaust brake exh. pressure will increase from flow restrictions causing heat to build up raising pressure even more, can the clamping force of stk exh. hardware or head bolts fail or stretch an loosen causing gaskets to move an leak? If possible can these press. be monitored and managed?

Hi, I bought a 2002 h.o. 6 speed qclb back in October. It is a rust free Arizona truck. It has a few dents and faded paint but I plan on fixing that in the near future. It is totally stock minus the 4" exhaust and s&b. It has 99,600 miles on it. It also has a raptor dfrp that it came with. My plans for this truck are to basically make it as reliable as possible while waking it up a bit. Realistically i'd like to be making around 300-350 this summer to at least be able to keep up with my buddy's stock '05 6 speed. Late last week I hear a noise very much like my starter bolts are backing off while starting the truck. Figure I will address when I get home. So rains on Saturday and misty and wet on Sunday. So I figure I will go back to SC on Monday morning and address it there. I get to work and when it warms up some I go out there in parking lot with laborer and look under the truck and laying on the asphalt is a piece of the spacer and one of the bolts. So I'm back.. started the 2 stroke oil. P1689 hasn't been giving me any trouble for a while. Today while driving to work someone came to a complete stop in the middle of the road so to keep moving I stepped on it to pass and go around them. As soon as i stepped on it I had nothing. So the beast is up and running like never before! This truck is very lively now..but I need some direction. I have many years in tuning and building imports, both NA and turbo applications, but wrapping my mind around the best way to run a diesel is proving to be a challenge. Right now I’m running a pretty tight wastegate. I’m at or near max boost without wiretap. With the quad on level 0 it’s running about 30psi with the TC unlocked and about 35psi locked. On level 3 it’s about 33psi unlocked and 38psi locked. I’m limited to about 40-45psi with the K27, which builds boost so fast off idle it’s hard to tune for smoke...there is almost never any to tune off of! …
