vp44 fears
As for the fuel mileage you might look into testing the injectors and see if they are still performing properly. 125 HP injectors are bit too big for MPG's... Anthing over +75 typically starts to fall in MPG's. Like myself I run +40 RV275's and still keeping 21-22 MPG typically in the summer.

vp44 fears
You might go over your electricall and see if there is a loose connection, corroded battery terminals, etc... Remember that both computers (ECM and PCM) rely on the battery cables for ground and power not body ground. So if the cables are bad or grounds are weak it might cause a problem. As for gauge on the dash it responds slowly to changes so it might not show a weak/loose connection but a DVM will if used properly. http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/59-obdii-error-codes/224-p1682-charging-system-voltage-too-low http://articles.mopar1973man.com/general-cummins/34-engine-system/136-voltage-drop-testing-of-wiring-and-feed-cables

Building My Own Web Server
Yea... I'm in Windoze... Between hashing out the printer problem and getting backups... I'd be over on Linux more... --- Update to the previous post... Hey Rogan is there a good solution for backup for Linux? Something that backups everything including the hard drive structure?

Good to hear they covered the work... I've got a funny feeling the steel line was just cut and the hose slipped on it... (No barb).

Wll I got to work on a 1994 Dodge Cummins... Need a valve lash job. Well I finally got a really good look at the P7100 Bosch Injection pump. That thing is a freaking monster. Total in the road for anything on the driver side of the engine. I was trying to even reach down to push the primer button on the lift pump and I just can't reach that thing.@ISX how in the hell do you make these things look so easy? :shrug:Like I found a oil leak from the injection pum its missing a nut on the block side and I'm not sure how in the hell to even get it back in there. Also what size of nut is it?

Mike, we should make a computer dork thread.. But this one's about portable GPS/NAV
Hmmm... After looking around I'm stuck with a Windoze machine for my out of date Garmin GPS V... :banghead:

Ubuntu Linux to Windows Vista Printing...
Ok this is point more so at Rogan if he's floating around... I managed to get the Canon printer to print on both computers booted in linux no problem. But now say I want to run Windows Vista and I'm hooked to the printer. So I've got another printer driver load on Mom's Linux to print using Samba Windows... for some reason it has a error with the printer filter. I've read somewhere there is a firewall issue that needs to be delt with... How I'm not sure yet... :banghead:This works...Printer <------ Mopar1973Man (Linux) <----------> MoparMom (Linux)This doesn't... Mine will print fine but Mom's errors out... :duh:Printer <------ Mopar1973Man (Windows Vista) <----------> MoparMom (Linux)

oil cooler
That looks like oil on the outside are you sure you did spill oil there adding it to the crankcase? I'd clean it up with some simple green and check it later on and see if it returns...Because that gasket should leak coolant not oil...
-
What fuel pressure do you run if you have a gauge?
Reason why... Because you got to remember the return line is tiny compared to the 1/2" supply line going to the injection pump. So increasing the fuel pressure over 14 PSI will open the overflow valve which is good but excessive pressure will eventually presurize the return line because its too small to handle the return flow. So like with my setup with cold fuel I see 17 PSI @ idle and 15 @ WOT. But with warm fuel its 19 @ idle and 17 @ WOT... Remember I see much colder temps than most of you flat landers...

Mopar1973Man's Crankcase Vent Modification
First off you need a truck that spits... Mine don't... Yeah I might drip on the floor now and then from the pipe but I don't have a oil loss problem. Then if I was to do that I would have a huge ball of muddy oil on all the parts from the many many miles of dirt road travel.

- Good quality body parts?
Have you tried asking your local body shop on where they get there body panels at?- Fuel Pressure Gauge Install
You should mount the sender as far from the VP44 as possible to reduce water hammer damge to the sender. You'd been better off with a mechaincal gauge because the electric sender tend to lose there accuracy over time and mis-read pressure. Mechanical gauges just never seem to wear out. http://articles.mopar1973man.com/general-cummins/36-fuel-system/34-fuel-pressure-gauge-and-water-hammer-effects As for tubing I use Air Brake line (Polyon)...- 4WD CAD questions
