Manually switching on fuel pump
If you have an accident and the fuel pump will continue to pump. I highly suggest having the ECM repaired so when the tach hits zero the fuel is shut off. After being to several accident scenes in not pretty when a fuel pump continues to pump fuel with a live fire.

Truck randomly dies HELP!
It's a bit difficult but you can remove the plug from the dash metal so you can see and check each pin.

Truck randomly dies HELP!
Check the pins in the OBDII port. It can and has happened to me where one pin pushed out.

Fuel knock or timing knock or something else?

Fuel knock or timing knock or something else?
Mine has a constant lope as it slows to stop. Once stopped it smooth idle. Doesn't bother me one bit.

The Quad is installed!
Just to show you don't have to play by the rules exactly. Like, in this case, I did the 100% start out for a reason of the Quad and ECM fighting down low are 1,200 RPM for handoff and start surging. Being the Quad is pulling fuel down the ECM keeps adding fuel so the surge continues. Now if you start at 100% the ECM and Quad are on equal playing ground the surge is minimized in town going from light to light at 30 MPH. This is more of Manual Transmission issue. Opps I see another thing I tapped 6 PSI... OPPS!

Smarty s03 today :)
Now the good question what are all you managing to get for MPG out of your Smarty S-03?

Questions about intake things
Kind of like in my case "Upgrade to 4 inch exhaust you'll love it will do all these magically performance boost." Actually... "Nothing happened performance wise, only the truck got louder" Sometimes upgrade don't do anything.

Recommendation on Trailer Tires
About ST trailer tires... Simple just want to make sure the tire never ran close or over its rate weight capacity or inflated at max pressure. If you have more tire capacity for weight and keep your pressure away from max you should be just fine.

The Quad is installed!
Bottom end with manual is bouncing off the bottom so it surging 2 to 3% engine load. So raise the 0 and 1 PSI near 100% fuel the cut back forsmoke reduction 2 PSI and up like a normal ramp up.

P1693 with NO companion code
Bad pop pressure, sticking injectors, etc. Another is excessively cold IAT will raise timing fairly steep. Make sure to run MPG mode. Too bad you gave up on the Quad.

Questions about intake things
The 3rd Gen trucks can actually make small gains in updating intakes.

Questions about intake things
Looking nice doesn't mean there is a sizable gain.

New Injectors?
Covered... Boost fooler and tuner... https://www.dieselautopower.com/quadzilla-power-1998-5-2000-dodge-5-9l-cummins-adrenaline-with-iquadbt Boost fooler alone will do no good. The ECM stock timing is too retarded for most usage. As you add more fuel more timing is needed. As you add more fuel you need to map the fuel out so to keep the smoke in check. When everything is right under the hood with fuel and timing that truck should tear the tires off.

The Quad is installed!
Like you can start off at +1, then by 5 or 10 PSI step up to +2, then by 10 PSI +3, etc.
-
W-T ground mod
Make sure to carry a spare fuse. That why I when with a resettable circuit breaker.
-
New Injectors?
Consider a Quadzilla (boost fooler) and a boost elbow. Now you have fuel management and timing control.

Vp44 pump
Needs to be removed. Then a plug placed back in the hole. But I doubt you'll fine a straight thread plug that goes back in that pump.
-
Vp44 pump
There isn't really. There is a body plug right there someone used as a fuel pressure tap.

Spit/sputter misfire? Defueling?
I'm still using the old school draw straw for many many years now and no issues. I've been down to the empty mark several times. I've seen the low fuel many times too. No sump and no issue. All summer long I'm typically offroad hauling firewood.

Vp44 pump
Bad idea... First off that is not a good place to measure fuel pressure. Second off electric sensors needs a bit of travel room from the snubber. The needle valve is a poor snubber for electric senders. You need a sinstered metal snubber then at least 5 feet of tubing to the sensor.
