  1. Maybe for racing stuff it'll be ok
  2. It seems to run good on it my last tank I got just over 20mpg hand calculated. It's a bit cheaper but not always .10 maybe if that. Personally I'd run regular with 2 cycle but only few stations around here still offer it and most are not on my way. Like Hy-Vee still supposedly has regular as their pumps don't say anything and asking people inside they have no clue, but by law I believe they should have a sticker that says biodiesel like Casey's where I fill up most of the time.
  3. If all else fails, try these https://www.centramatic.com/balancers.rhtml?gclid=Cj0KCQjwu7OIBhCsARIsALxCUaNXK4DMwQ0N_aeG41xI30njuZnNwyPaeXNn5VQ-w6G0B5fFJMQZ3qkaAo7BEALw_wcB As much time you spent on it may worth a try, if it helps then you know vibration is in the rotating assembly. I have a set on my truck and now I got a set for work truck. They're not a %100 fix but 10 times better then using beads inside the tire which I've tried for a while.
  4. True ^^^ but in reality you'll never know for sure until you look. I'm in the same boat, been thinking about it ever since I got the truck. I have no leaks in the front at the moment so I'm not going to do anything at this time. The other thing most don't think about is case bolts that can come out and do just as much damage, not as often but I've heard of it happening. I'm guessing if your case gasket is starting to leak it's a good sign of bolts working lose.
  5. Mine always sounds and performs good with 2 stroke but around here most diesel is bio now so I quit using the oil
  6. Might as well be blm That's crazy, not even sure what to say...
  7. Personally I would recommend getting a timbo apps, doing a WT mod and checking alternator for AC noise. More than likely it will resolve your issues and prevent others.
  8. I've been looking for a used ss, not planning on spending money on a new one. https://www.crazycarlsturbos.com/product-p/sdmant3.htm Looks tempting
  9. Did you happen to take any pictures of bad head gasket, just curious what it looked like
  10. That's why I never fill up at small stations, maybe hard for you to do being in the middle of nowhere
  11. Maybe at least put a straight edge on it
  12. Did you take the head back to the shop to check for flatness, are in such a short time you called it good enough and just changed the gasket.
  13. Assuming you put a cap on the pump, then yes you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Vacuum pump constantly draws air into the crankcase if you have no vacuum leaks it doesn't really suck any air just creates vacuum for vacuum operating things, like HVAC system, cad if you have one. But if you have a vacuum leak it just keeps pumping air to the crankcase, it has to go somewhere.
  14. Plug the vacuum line coming out of the vacuum pump just below the VP, if it helps then you have a vacuum leak somewhere. I'd have to say there's nothing wrong with your vacuum pump if anything it's actually good, being it's creating vacuum and shoving it in the crankcase. unless it's leaking between power steering pump and vacuum pump then you need a new seal kit.
  15. Sorry @dripley you said it was for jag1 but I already hit the like button.
  16. Just never know these days
  17. @Turbo Terry you may want to use some 2 cycle oil in double dose in winter with that #1 idk just thinking out loud
  18. You look like a human being
  19. My stock manifold has a small crack in it at the bottom not leaking yet but not m guessing soon it will, been getting bigger trough out the years, I'm looking for a one piece ss manifold and probably will put in some ss studs. N Ed to start saving up so I can just buy it all new, screw it...
  20. https://youtu.be/vJhR48a-9R8 Might as well get a reseal kit for power steering pump too, that big oring likes to leak at this age. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/dodge,2001,ram+2500+pickup,5.9l+l6+diesel+turbocharged,1366602,steering,power+steering+pump+seal+kit,7407
  21. It seems to hunt us here with these anomalies
  22. On rare occasion I heard that timbo could be bad new, even though it's simple. Not saying it is but maybe. If you had this issues before changing it and now, chances are ecm acting up. Not saying it's bad ether could be ground issues.
  23. If apps is acting up at idle it's ether not adjusted right or ecm is having issues, at idle apps have no say ecm is in charge. Go through apps voltage setting procedures from timbo.
  24. In my opinion it's a stepping stone, I don't think it's the future. Be careful...
