  1. Use the spread sheet in open office, it's free. L8tr D
  2. @trreed are those the winjet headlights? I have them on mine and the led's keep going out. I got hem from amazon so I can replace them for free. I got two sets now and am working on keeping the led's on. I think I just figured it out. If you have any issues with them I'd be more than happy to discuss my findings. Of course I hope you don't go through what I have. I really like the looks of what you are doing. L8tr D
  3. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Can't wait to see some smoking tires. L8tr D
  4. Anyone know of a good truck rapper. Sorry Mike just had to L8tr D
  5. I hear ya. Those are necessities down here L8tr D
  6. That looks great so far. Please keep us updated. I am very interested in this. L8tr D
  7. I just went this as well. Very careful routing of the wires when installing makes for happy mirrors. Took me a while to figure out as well. Glad you did too L8tr D
  8. I hear earplugs or a loud stereo work wonders.
  9. Depending on the condition of your axles, it would cost probably 1k per axle IF you did it yourself. When I first got my truck I looked into it and my mechanic quoted 2k per axle. Gears alone are 600-700 each. On the mileage side, I just got my best this fill up. 19.4 mpg around town. Probably 16.5-17 highway. Slightly oversized tires and 4:10 (see sig below). L8tr D
  10. @W-T another awesome post. Do you ever use your truck? The engine bay looks like it's on the showroom floor. I am going to inspect my wiring this weekend. L8tr D
  11. I have one of those but without the hand pump. I use it for fuel for generator during hurricane season. It's handy and having that pump would be great. L8tr D
  12. That's what it's all about here. A great bunch of people helping each other keep these great beasts running. L8tr D
  13. Just a thought but have you checked the electrical connections and wires? Maybe old and corroded and not giving you the power you need. L8tr D
  14. Got just shy of 100k and get around 18mpg around town. I don't get on the highway much but would guesstimate 16.5 - 17mpg. Heading to NY in May so I will get good highway data from that. L8tr D
  15. That was awesome. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us. We will all remember that. L8tr D
  16. Great news & I hope that cummins keeps purring like a pissed off kitty. L8tr D
  17. I believe it's in this thread however I didn't take the time to locate it. L8tr d
  18. I've been meaning to post about this as well. If I am correct (and very well could not be) the PCM controls the AC compressor. I have thought about installing a switch that will interrupt the power going to the clutch. For you guys up north it must be frustrating to have that cold air from the AC when you don't need or want it. The recycle/fresh air is controlled by vacuum. I'm assuming there is a way to control this but am not sure how. Thanks for bringing this up and hopefully we can figure this out. L8tr d
  19. I had this problem on my 01 1/2 ton. Try checking the voltage manually with a DVM. I did that on mine and charging voltage was normal. It did not happen constantly maybe a handful of times during a year. I'm not sure if comparing the different vehicles is valid though. L8tr d
  20. Thanks @AH64ID I always wondered what the actual flow volume was. That is over 13 cycles a minute. That's some oil flow. Not to change the subject but does any one know the flow rate for the 47re? L8tr d
  21. This is a great post & I, along with many others I am sure, are watching this closely. Keep up the great work guys & thanks a bunch. L8tr d
  22. Man that was a great read and very informative. Unfortunately my brain hurts now. Mike, how did you get a picture from under my hood?
  23. All that work for a $5 part, figures. What's it like to not have the E brake with a standard? I assume the tranny holds good in gear. L8tr d
  24. That's probably what we use (or something similar) at work. You need good solid water tight connections in the marine industry. Rarely do we get warranty returns for bad connections. I personally prefer uninsulated so I can crimp, solder and heat shrink myself. Those are great butt connectors though L8tr d
