  1. Ummm... Mine easy but not very big...
  2. I kind of wonder if the gasket itsself on the tailshaft is damaged some how? Odd for a bolt to leak... Could pull the bolt and put some gasket maker on the threads if it passing through into the case...
  3. Your just plain but we all still care about ya...
  4. Not a problem... Anymore information found on the VP44 and P1689 code? Did you try swapping the relays (fuel pump and horn)?
  5. Well I got you cover then... Go to NAPA and get a WH6820 it cost about $8 bucks... Needle Valve Adjustment As for pop testing. (Basic) http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jXX_rGqgGo
  6. As for the fuel pressure gauge sounds like the sender is damaged from water hammer pulses... Did you install a needle valve and set it properly? As for the choppy idle could you hook up a OBDII scan tool and read the error codes? But if there is no error codes you might have to pop test the injectors it might have a damaged pintle needle and sticking some after it gets warmed up. But a pop test would most likely show this too...
  7. That sure would do it... Those little sealing washers will make or break a seal for sure...
  8. Here is the wiring for both the VP44 and the lift pump... VP44 Wiring... Take notice the fuel pump relay on top here. This is to supply power to the VP44... Now take notice to the ECM has to + power leads heading towards the lift pump but there is NO relay in the circuit. But it relize on the driverside ground for its connection too.
  9. I've been running the fleetguard on the AD 150 and a fleetguard in the stock filter... As for the stock filter I open it up and peeked in not to long ago and notice the filter is starting to discolor after 50K miles so the double stack filters are really helping out. 136K miles and VP44 still singin'
  10. I've got my pressure gauge setup in the line before the VP44. (Old School Big Line). I'm also running the stock fuel filter to with my AirDog 150. As for fuel pressure I just re-adjusted mine with a extra shim and sitting at 18 PSI at idle and 16 at WOT. As of filter change when I get to 15 PSI I will change filters on the AirDog again. But like my last filter change the pressure didn't rise again. This is because the check ball in the regulator got crammed down in the coils of the spring so when I pulled it back out the pressure rose again. So I figure might as well add a extra shim to it...
  11. Welcome to the site SwampRat... But what is the problem by chance?
  12. ISX you crazy fool... Well at least you alive and OK but I'm sure your not going to try that twice are you???
  13. Correct... The fuel pump realy is the power supply to the VP44 NOT the lift pump on the side of the block...
  14. So does my Edge Comp on 5x5... But I never exceed 200*F towing my trailer... Even pulling 6% grades at 55 MPH. But you sure hear the fan lock up and sound like a turbo prop trying to take off... The cooling system is plenty big to handle some of the bigest loads but AH64ID does have a point thermostat and coolant flush is cheap insurance for the summer time.
  15. Shorting temp lead to ground tripping the light? Bad trans temp sensor?
  16. Not I... But you might shop around... I'm sure there is better than NAPA...
  17. Ummm... Errr... Ummm... I think I figure out another way of getting them out before I go that far...
  18. sound like the carbon track is wore out for sure... Strange... There was no codes...
  19. No joke... http://www.google.com/search?q=clear+propane+bottles&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1&rlz=1I7ADFA_en#q=clear+propane+bottles&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&rlz=1I7ADFA_en&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=4ZXqTY34MYGasAOwq8n5DQ&ved=0CE4QrQQ&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=830c3e2a07ee9aae&biw=1659&bih=882 There you go a Google Shopping page full of them...
  20. At the time it was rather serious note watch poor James holding his thigh and limping out the door of the shop. Now looking back on it... It still rather scary but funny too... One of these days I got to do the driver side...
  21. No on the 96 the door buzzer is a seperate unit.
  22. Here is a better option... Or buy propane tank with actual gauges built in like fork lift style tanks do... They are still out there...
  23. If you find the box under the dash you could take some silcone put a blob on the speaker opening. Then it would be muffled. But if you deside you want the dinger then all you got to do is peel the silcone off the speaker grill.
