  1. Nothing but rightwing propaganda trying to destroy my illusion that driving an EV is stopping global warming and saving the planet.
  2. With low beams on check with a voltmeter if there is battery power to the blub. If no, trace wire for open circuit or check for a bad fuse. If yes, then check with an ohm meter if there is continuity between the blub and ground.
  3. Extinctions have been a natural part of the planet’s evolutionary history. 99% of the four billion species that have evolved on Earth are now gone. Most species have gone extinct. There have been five mass extinction events in Earth’s history. ¹ So, taking a pragmatic view, if there is a 6th mass extinction event this blue marble in the cosmos will still be spinning around. Man's 2-million-year existence will be but a small footnote in the Earth's history. . ¹ourworldindata.org

  6. I made this bracket out of sheet metal from an old road sign and mounted a Carter "campaign" fuel pump with an added fuel filter. It is mounted to the frame using self-taping sheet metal screws and fender washers. This was done 11 years ago. When I installed the Fuel Boss pump this Airtex pump was fitted to the bracket as a backup pump that has been used to prime the fuel system when work is done on it. The bracket is still on the truck.
  7. Got back from the Fall season camping trip with my grandson, JAG1, and the gang. Now in recovery mode from surgery I hod on Friday. Next, I'll get my truck prepped for the body shop to have the right door and fender repaired from the damaged that was done to it in May. After the holidays I'll be gearing up for our now annual Haystack Mountain gun range camping trip weekend.
  8. Went back to the theme. New one with black background was hard on the eyes.

  11. There are three suppliers of oil for Walmart's Supertech oil: Warren Oil Company, Pennzoil, and ExxonMobil. Warren Oil Company bottles have a rectangle on the front or back of the bottle and may or may not have a capital C with a star in it on the bottom at the same time. Pennzoil bottles have a capital C with a star in it on its bottom only. ExxonMobil bottle will have a larger cap similar to a Mobile1 bottle with no other markings.

  13. Have you tried driving up and down that area of road, with the Edge comp box disconnected, to see what happens. If it is some type of electronic interference emanating in that area you may have to shield and bond the Edge comp box, ECM, and PCM. @W-Twould be able to give a more informative answer on this problem.

  15. Won't work. You need to scrape the old foam backing off the fiberboard first.
  16. All so install a fuse in the blue lead between the PCM and the alternator. https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/51_engine/electrical/alternator-and-pcm-protection-r617/
  17. One module year, I can't remember right now, there were a lot of Volvos that had pion seal leaks. These where Dyna differentials with crush sleaves. I would do the same thing: mark the pion, mark the nut, and mark the flange. Take the nut off, use a puller to take the flange off, replace the seal, then reassemble. Never had a problem.
  18. Will do. I'll even take pics of them and post them here. Ya, my wife's so hot she uses a smoke alarm as a cooking timer.
  19. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. It wasn't me...she said that they were professional Indian rain dancers.
  20. There was dye in the system already from previous repair attempts and the dye lasts forever in the system. The dye will circulate through the system, when first introduced, with in 10-40 minutes of run time. Do not add any more dye. There has been plenty of elapse time for a leak to show. If there is a leak at a connection it would have shown. The evaporator cannot be seen without taking it out of the HVAC case; An electronic leak detector works best for this area checking at the end of the drain tube ao the dash vents with the fan on low speed. Another place to check is the front of the condenser in front of the radiator. It could get a pin hole leak from road debris striking it. The front compressor seal is hidden behind the pully/clutch; look for dye staining at the front bottom of the compressor where the pully is mounted to it.
  21. I pulled my seat heaters out when the seat bottoms were recovered. Don't need them in southern California. I still have them in a bag somewhere.
