I need some ideas on how to straight my pillar where the tailgate latches and pull out a dent in my bed. My ebrake broke on my manual it rolled down a hill and hit a tree. These are the photos https://ibb.co/cJ3XVzs https://ibb.co/qm0z8hz https://ibb.co/zSt9DKD

I have seen a few trucks with 2 holes drilled in the exhaust manifold and one always has a copper loop like a still. What is it? Why? You can see it here: http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/26-engine-systems/482-holset-he351ve-install-retrofit-2nd-gen-cummins

I have a 01 dodge cummins 4wd, it has synergy steering, BD track bar, EMF ball joints and Redhead steering box. I recently had it aligned and I'm still getting tire noise and wear(getting choppy) and the truck still wonders back and forth. I'll attach my alignment specs the shop set everything to. I need some help with what is correct? Because I went from the Y style to the T style steering and I think it not correct now.

  4. Alright, kinda wish I would have taken more pictures, but I was hot and ready to get it back on the road... So here is what I got, perhaps this will help someone looking to replace their own. First things first. Go out and take a look at your Dana 80. Now, I don't have a photo of the other type for comparison, but there are actually two different Dana 80's in the 2001 and 2002 model year. This is important to get the proper seal. For my axle, in a 2001.5 Ram 3500 quad cab 2wd diesel 6 speed, it has the non flanged yoke and the double stepped down pinion shaft seal. Part number is 5015618AB from Dodge... Now the other seal (for the flanged yoke) is 5073944…

My weep hole has a good leak, it drained the entire recovery bottle in a one hour road trip. Anyways, gates/NAPA brand are only about $40 where a cummins water pump is over $100. Go factory or aftermarket? Thanks

Hi guys, long time no posts, busy being a grand dad. Anyway had old Red out the other day and found out I had no low beams. Bulbs are fine and come on with the high beams, but not by themselves, Ideas? Mark

Ok so my 98.5 has the overhead compass but i was wondering does it display the mileage? i have not been able to achieve that with it yet, if it does what is the combo of buttons to press to get this info? mine only has two buttons on it one on each side of the display. I know that white's truck does have the mileage feature but his truck is an 01 as well.

Has anybody on here had any luck with the cheap Amazon winches? I just picked up a 12000lbs viper recovery from a company called motoalliance. Looks like it has a decent warranty. I bought it to pull trees up to the road for firewood. We shall see i guess. Ill post an update once i get some use out of it. Merry Christmas everyone.

I started filling my trucks up at the coop, no particular reason. Anyway I always hand calculate my full mileage each fill up so I filled up and wow 17mpg in my 05 It has never goten better than 16. So I was observing the pumps and in fine print and it said 5% bio deisel.Three days later I full up my 01 and she got 16:thumb1: and she weighs 11k loaded with all my junk. This is with two stroke in the tank. Work truck normally gets 14.5 to 15.75. I like this bio stuff, we have never had it around our little town. Pay a little more but hey more mileage.

So when I bought my truck it did not come with keychain deal to lock and unlock it. I called the dealer today and they have one for my truck for 85 bucks. But they want another 60 to 70 bucks to program it. Is this something I can do myself. If so how ? I just dont want to make an appointment and waste the extra money if I don't have to.

I plan on doing something in the spring with my truck to keep the rear from sagging when I tow my gooseneck but i'm undecided to do springs or airbags. I was wondering if anyone on here using airbags has the plastic inner fenders in the wheelwells of their box. I don't want to buy a set to find out I can't use the inner fenders liner.

I need to replace my headlights as I have polished them far to many times and would like some real world experience from people that have used them. I am in a budget but don't want the cheapest out there. I have about 250 buck to blow and don't want to do it twice. What I have decided on is the clear lens euro style with halogens. I have spent far to much time reading forums and searching the internet and it is just overwhelming . The biggest deal is that they need to be adjustable from the front and if two piece where the adjuster moves only the headlight is any better then one piece. I don't drive my beloved truck at night very often because I live in a high deer popu…

  14. Does anyone know if the trucks are pre wired for power mirrors? So I would just need the control and power mirrors to convert the truck? https://www.ebay.com/itm/DODGE-RAM-1500-2500-3500-DURANGO-TRUCK-POWER-MIRROR-CONTROL-SWITCH-KNOB-BK-94-02/113577448786?hash=item1a71be5552:g:kwQAAOSwoN5cQ7d2 will this one work?

Are 10ply tires really necessary on a Ram 2500 4x4 ? I have 10 ply tires on my Ram but are 10 ply really necessary ? I have owned several 3/4 ton 4x4 and got very good service with 8 ply tires plus they are about fifty bucks less than the 10 ply. I do not haul heavy loads on my truck but I do pull a 16 fool featherlite stock g/n and a 18 ft flat bed g/n trailer for hay movement. So what is your thoughts ?

Hey gang! I'm having issues with the A/C system in my truck. This may take a while and make a long post but I think the context and symptoms may help the diagnosis. About a year ago when I'd turn the A/C on there would be a light smell coming out of the vents. It smelled to me like poplar leaves in the fall after they come down mostly dried up. SWMBO though it reminded her of old books bound in the 1950s and stored together in a closed room. It didn't linger long, maybe a minute or two would clear it out and all would be well. A/C performance was good at this point. I was thinking that maybe I had some poplar leaves down in the cowl that I needed to dig out. Never got t…

I want to add two more gauges to my truck.Even if mechanical probably needs wiring for the background lighting.Whats the easiest way to have them all running of a 12v power - rather than runnning 4-6 different wires to the battery or to fuse taps ? It gets MESSY.I need a real "junior" explanation with paint by numbers examples

Any one know a simple place to hook up the gauge light. I mounted it down near the floor in front of the 4wd shift lever for protection from feets. It is a good spot cause I can see it without looking thru the steering wheel etc. Been working so hard lately, not much rest, I need simple if you know a spot down there.

So since I got this truck over a year and a half ago and ever since it's had a very sloppy gas pedal. The first picture is it resting against the cable stop, the second is being supported by my foot, third is a picture of where it rests on the stop unsupported and fourth shows it being supported where I'm pretty sure it should be. Could it be they put in the throttle cable of a V8 or V10? I checked the "Throttle Body" for lack of a better word, and that spring is tight and not sloppy in there so I don't know what is wrong. Doesn't really effect performance just kinda annoying. Any advice helps. Thanks!

  20. Am trying to get to the back of the radio to fuss with the antenna connection. Cannot see an easy way to do so...There is a cubbyhole made out of plastic right under the radio, inbetween the ashtray and glovebox.Looking at it, it appears that there is some sort of clip that holds it into the dash, directly under the radio but cannot for the life of me figure out how to release it.Anyone else ever done this? Thx,Joe
