  1. Just wait till you see 215's.
  2. Check for AC noise issues from the alternator? Being that the ECM uses the tach signal for different things and if the alternator is polluting the tach signal with alternator AC noise it can impact the performance of the truck. Doesn't happen. Now if your running a Quadzilla tuner yes this would be true stock ECM no. There are no real fuel limits on a Stock ECM for warm up. Remember I see temps down to -20*F for winter it still runs strong even on a cold start.
  3. I remember long ago over on CF a guy managed to make a crankcase vent that kept a mild vacuum on the crankcase using the exhaust system and a check valve. Basically, in a nutshell, the exhaust was set up with a venturi style Y fitting with a check valve. The flowing exhaust would create a mild vacuum and draw the vapor out into the exhaust stream. He basically had nothing that dripped on the floor and supposed to run faster because the mild vacuum allows pistons to swing easier with no crankcase pressure. That's the theory...
  4. Same here I get about a drop or so on the garage floor. I've considered buy a 12V tappet cover and replacing the 24V with it and then capping off the stock vent and using just the 12V vent.
  5. Now we can start seeing all the cool 4th gen articles coming next. Like all the great little problems with the DEF and Urea tank.
  6. The ones with the yellow pull tabs. The fuse will pull from the socket but not fall out. The system is now disconnected. Like the IOD fuse and I think maybe 1 or 2 more in the panel.
  7. Basically, the engine can stop rather abruptly but the accessories like the alternator, water pump and fan don't so the usually squeak as the device slips a bit.
  8. Like myself, I'm the odd duck here with an AirDog 150 went 13 years on the first pump and just replaced the pump head for the first time and still going running towards 300k miles on the AirDog 150 and got 353k miles on the truck.
  9. Anyone replace the APPS with a Timbo's? Did anyone test the wiring between the APPS and the ECM? Anyone do an AC noise test of the alternator?
  10. Finally to the end of the thread. You got your new truck.
  11. I would cut them back so no bare copper was shown then taken a small wire nut and capped out the wires. This will guard the very tips from touching.
  12. The lights are wire hot constantly so it possible you have a bare spot in a wire somewhere. I would be looking for the last hack job a previous owner might have done to the truck. So it will be the pink wire for sure. The other side goes to ground and just lights the light up for you.
  13. Still struggling to reach that 21 yet...
  14. All my setup... Too long for signature... https://mopar1973man.com/garage/vehicle/101-2002-dodge-ram-2500/?show=mods
  15. 2,800 -> 4,400 -> 2,600 roughly. So the entire trip down is downhill following a river. 3 grades to climb. Then the whole trip back home is all up hill. Home is 2,800 feet elevation so I climb out the hole to get to New Meadows, ID then drop downhill following Weiser River the whole way. The only 3 grades (Fort hall Grade, Mesa Grade, and Midvale Grade).
  16. Ummm. what you replaced the pedal pad for the brake pedal? You should see my truck the brake pedal still looks new but the clutch pedal is worn down pretty good.
  17. PS method works good when you have 2 people. The new air hammer tool works great for a single guy.
  18. Rain would be nice, but just enough to drown the fire out. Heavy rains now would be highly damaging and mudslide for sure would happen. All this area of the fire is nothing but steep mountain terrain. I was sneaking around on the mountain to size up the impact of things like that above me. I'm afraid it might be more problems to come. Amount of dead and dying trees and fire scared land this coming fall, winter and spring might be really interesting. Then again maybe... just maybe I can get lucky and not have any problems. Time will tell.
  19. Today.... Standing at the top of the ridge with the black behind me. Looking down on the house. Standing at the property boundary. Then looking towards the black. Gone up the road to the irrigation dam. Untouched. The fire burn near the area... No damage to the dam or piping.

Nevermind... I must need to get some rest these days. I look at the wheels and swore I saw the one reversed rotational to the other in the picture.

How in the heck did it ever build boost if the compressor wheel was a reverse rotation?
  22. Same here in Idaho we are now finding out. The requirements of working with USFS is too steep for even my Fire Chief. Still, we are prepared for protecting the people in our district. Even though we have training for wildland, structure, vehicle extrication, etc. We are no longer able to work with USFS because we don't meet the requirements. Same here. At least the winds are up just enough to clear the smoke. Yeah, I'm hoping for the rains but I realize its another month away for us. At least we don't have dry lightning storms. (Ugh!) As for our local fire dept we are down volunteers. There is only a handful of us willing to do the dirty work of taking care of the trucks, sheds, equipment, etc. Then there is people within the Fire Dept and community upset with the way this fire is being handled. Why not ban together envoke change? Start small. I'm trying my darnest to back my Fire Chief right now so to lighten his load allowing him to attempt at evoking change for us. When a person is overworked then they are more apt to just giving in and quitting. I'm trying to help even to keep moving forward even one tiny step to even the smallest amount of change. As for the religious side. There is a lot of "Let's pray" happening here but very few people want to support anyone. As for MoparMom and myself yes we are religious natured people. Mom is the prayer warrior. I'm the muscle to getting things done. More or less if I prayed every time something went wrong I would be in worse shape. Like saving Mom's life even though I ran downstairs to say a quick prayer the action of me getting her to the hospital saved her life. I feel the prayer gave me the strength to endure what I was going to face and have the strength to keep going. 2 years later we (MoparMom and myself) are still going. Comes back to... Good Lord helps those to help themselves. Bingo!
  23. Sorry but no. Because of the all the flash programming that is required to make it "fit" your truck. You could buy a used ECM and ask around for someone to flash it for you. Way too many version of software and options to just have one available. I understand your issue but there isn't many solutions to getting around this.
