  1. All you can do is give it a try it will definitely be better than 315
  2. The only way I'll give up if I have money for the 4th gen, otherwise I'll keep fighting the fight
  3. Ahhh another thing on the never ending list
  4. I don't even want to know how much I spend I know it was in thousands. Sorry Dave didn't mean to at you the wrong way
  5. That was like the cheapest hg replacement, unless you're savings for better chicken coop cough it up for the quad
  6. If you can find it buy the time you open the hood and get in the uncomfortable position to read the temp, it will be cold off anyway. Oil used in cars today probably has something to do with it also. On the other note, I beat the crap out my wife's x3 every time I drive it, quick little 4banger, tires are expensive though.
  7. How much was a gallon of gas back then
  8. I think you both have great points and great setups
  9. Nice, I should do it just so I'll never have to use it at night. It's when you're not prepared is when things happen.
  10. Isn't Colorado used to white smoke by now
  11. Could be a weak vp, and not throwing a code
  12. More than likely switch or corroded wire on a switch itself on the vacuum actuator, but I suppose if you had week vacuum It could have pulled it halfway in enough to engage the collar to have 4 by 4 and not enough to trigger the light Could be the diaphragm is going bad also in the actuator, Mine rotted away that's when I put posi lock in
  13. If had to happen to you, otherwise this mod would have never came to existence. Someone else would have just replaced PCM and alternator and moved on without figuring out what can be done to prevent it
  14. I love my new 265/70/17 for ease of taking off, getting up to speed, and the bump in MPG, one thing I'm not liking so far is my cruising MPG, seems I was getting better MPG crusing at 70-75 with 285/70/17 close to 18mpg latly same speed with 265 I'm down to 16mpg. But if I slow down to 60ish I'm closer to 22mpg where with 285 I was at 20, still pissing around with temperature differences and may adjust my tune a little more.
  15. Yes we live and learn, as soon as I found out about @Mopar1973Man protective fuse mod for PCM that was a very next thing I did, thanks for frying your PCM Mike
  16. I don't know if I do worry about them now, you already have them installed and running. Torque is more for not stripping the threads and yet be tight enough so it don't come apart. Unless you really like pulling them in and out. Are they original, how many miles on them.
  17. Well that and maybe reroute it some, sounds like you mentioned out bodies were modified from gassers to diesel and may be some short cuts can be had. Then of course a simple version of how to do it
  18. @BrokeAssPainter are all your mods in your sig? What gear ratio, it it Auto, stock injectors, how many miles truck/injectors, hx35 or hy35, timing is low, do you have head studs. What are you seeing for maximum boost, light throttle too high (40) should be closer to 20ish. But then again with your big tiers... your canbus is basically maxed out at 10psi, you need bigger injectors and maybe few other things. I may not respond right a way, but it'll get the ball rolling.
  19. PO put A1s in my truck and they seem to be doing well, tensile is supposed to be higher than arp 425 just not sure why they quit making them
  20. Ha ha just ordered some polks 20 minutes ago they should be fine I hope, lots of people like them, idk. To OP sorry for just fine tuning this thread
  21. This is what I got, seems to be direct fit and working fine. Got it from rockauto. It didn't have grease zerks, I added some. May not need them though.
  22. Got you beat It's temporary, but will be like that for a while You may be on to something
  23. I'm looking for better sound, if Walmart I might as well not mess with them. It's not like buying batteries
