  1. No I was joking about all the crap on top of it
  2. This is going to be a classic thread
  3. I keep want to put clevises on my bumpers to make it complete, just keep thinking someone is going to steal them, and they're not cheap ether.
  4. Your new dash looks nice
  5. Then tattoo that part as a ring, that would hurt
  6. I'm thinking going with this, unless kickers are that much better. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Polk-Audio-A-Pair-Of-DB652-6-5-and-DB692-6x9-Speakers-Includes-2-Pair/163582653195
  7. Now that this been brought up I realize that my speakers suck, thanks a lot ha ha. I'm thinking of going this route Kicker 43DSC69304, first on the list in this link, thanks @Andrey https://soundrating.com/best-6x9-speakers/#Infographic with maybe an added amp, seems they lack base but have good evening else. I'm not a big fan of base anyway. Some reviews say they should of went with 6.5 inch instead of 5.25 and holes don't line up and needs spacers. Any comments on that anyone ? How about this combo https://www.ebay.com/itm/Polk-Audio-5-25-300W-Car-Marine-ATV-Speakers-Pair-6-x-9-360W-Speakers-Pair/232286107810?hash=item361554b8a2:g:9dYAAOSwax5Y2uZZ:sc:ShippingMethodStandard!52722!US!-1 Or this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Polk-Audio-A-Pair-Of-DB652-6-5-and-DB692-6x9-Speakers-Includes-2-Pair/163582653195?hash=item261649330b:g:ZIMAAOSwN21cgEUU:sc:ShippingMethodExpress!52722!US!-1 Which one is better, they say Kicker has better sound on 6x9 but I'm not a speaker guy by any means, Polk seems good too, great here we go again
  8. I know, I was kind of thinking same thing how bolts get more pressure. My A1 studs are torqued to 135
  9. Personally I would rebuild the calipers yourself, unless the housings are rotting away, some of the stuff they sell will only last a year or two if you're lucky. It may be a lifetime warranty but you still have to mess with it. It's pretty easy to rebuild, and the kit is like 5 bucks online. My hubs went in the hole very easy also, everything got lots of anti seize on it. So far so good, aside from intermittent ABS brake light. Snap-On scanner says it's my driver's side sensor drop in the signal, but my old hubs did the same thing so not sure if it's a BS computer or a new hub.
  10. If you know what you doing, took me like two days Not unless you like challenges and can't get enough of your truck It's only for the challenged ones What's this deal with Morimoto ballast not lasting, what I heard
  11. It's because you have one of the trucks that will run forever. In them miles you got on there you just never had to mess with it before. Your head barely needed any machine work which I'm still in shock, but happy for you. Your original ujoints etc, think of all the fun you're missing out on
  12. I just used black silicone, it's somewhat easy to peel off of things if you ever need to. Got a couple of tubes of it at Menards for few bucks a tube. Used some of it to go around the headlights to close up the gap between the fender, as the new cheap housings don't fit quiet the same and live a bigger gap.
  13. You got me last time I had my dash out I think there was only one line and it was black going to controls. You're on the right track with your thinking though. I'm sure while you're running the new line you'll find the problem with the old one
  14. Grey is good stuff, a lot of Hondas, Toyotas use it, I had good luck with it. Black rtv gasket maker is also good.
  15. I believe that's why you go extra 90 degrees and kinda put tension on bolts so they always pulling. And that would make sense 70lb + 90 degrees is close to 150lb so they probably settle to 130ish
  16. Just to be safe check your valve lash soon. You're using used set and your pushrods, things will wear in a little and settle down. My new ones did.
  17. Them gals can can whop city's boys and keep on working
  18. I almost ripped my finger off once at work getting out of a dump truck, slipped and almost got hung up on it. My other foot found traction before it was too late. That was the last day I ever put it on.
  19. I always found it amazing how mail still gets delivered and worst weather conditions, them guys are tough.
  20. That was the easiest way to clean our trucks too, just drive in the river.
  21. Had a Cherokee with low miles like 60s and that pile of .... both front and rear axles were making noise, I sold it and told new owner about it, he was a gear head and didn't care, what a pile that was and a gas hog
  22. This was one of my toys with 2.5 ton Rockwell axles. I know it's a bit different from what we have but I never had any water mixing with oil.
