Replaced the hard line from the tranny to heat exchanger with fittings and hose, because mine was bent and a pain to line up the threaded ends. $63 from Jegs -8 AN= 1/2" Fittings at transmission- 1/4" NPT to -8 AN and -8 AN 90 degree bend push loc Fittings at heat exchanger- 3/8" NPT to -8 AN and -8 AN straigh push loc 10' of -8 AN(1/2") parker hose

So when are you getting a pop testing device and start popping and rebuilding members injectors?

I think that's the one I used, pretty sure it's Larry Bs. When I got my truck with 202k the starter was sticking. Rebuilt it, no issues in the last 25k miles.

If you don't need the extra ground clearance, subaru outback. My wife has a 2011 4 cylinder nonturbo wagon, averages high twenties around town, 33-34mpg highway. My mom has a 2006 wagon, almost 300k, original motor and tranny, averages about 25mpg. Never got stuck in a New England winter.

I had ebc green stuff, I think, ceramic, didn't like the stopping power loaded up. Rolled through a stop sign or two when there was significant weight in the bed. They heat up. However, my 1/2 ton has ceramics with no issues, but I don't haul/tow the same weight as the dodgey.

I'm pretty sure borgeson doesn't make the 2nd gen box anymore.

Stock tranny/valve body? You can have a hard 3-4 shift if the 3-4 spring is broken, which is common. If you're going to drop the pan anyways for a filter change, you can take the 3 screws out from the 3-4 accumulator housing and check the spring. 3rd to 3rd lockup can be "harsh" and 3rd to 4th can be "harsh" if you have a triple disc and modified valve body. http://www.cascadetransmissionparts.com/a61847rh47re.aspx

Good question. I dumped oil in the doors and packed grease in the folded lip and the rust hasn't grown. How to fix it? No clue.

With DAP 60s and edge ez on highest setting (level 3, which is comp 2 level) I also had smoke until the turbo lit too, only with heavy throttle.

What do you have for a torque converter? Single? Triple? I had a billet single slipping (grab and slip grab and slip) in 3rd lockup and 4th lockup. Felt like slight shuddering, especially up hills.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the teflon tape is just a band aid. If the the nut to head connection is leaking that means the hard pressure line to connector tube isn't sealed. Local cummins is usually cheaper than online if you get new connector tubes.
