  1. I am wondering if going up on pump stretch 2K ish and Can Bus % will create that low end response. I guess I can also make wire tap minimum add greater too? If I actually download load a Smarty tune will the truck act poorly even with the Adrenaline on level 0? Thanks

  2. So I recently came across a BD super b special turbo for cheap from a friend. It's 64 /71/14wg. I picked it up thinking I could use it on my 12 valve but I starting to think its going to be to big to really reach the goal I'm trying to achieve.my goals for my truck are : 450-480 HP, still keeping it as a daily driver and able to do some light towing (my boat, my car trailer and my dads 28ft enclosed trailer) and also maintaining at least 23-24 mpg average.right now what I have for my truck that's not installed is :3gsk spring #10 plate with boost elbow and all the mods listed in my sig.     Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that when I was at Walmart the other day I saw that they had a sale on the magna1 semi-synthetic 2-stroke oil for $13. I thought that was a really good deal so I picked up about four gallons of it. I don't know if this is better than the regular 2-stroke supertech oil but I feel like it might be since it is semi synthetic.

  4. Hey guys first post here so hoping this thread is in the right spot. I swapped a 2000 24v and 47re into my 06 f250 over the winter, rebuilt the engine and recently the trans. I put pdd 6x.014 sac injectors in it with .093 injector tubes. So pump. Sxe 364.5/73/83 turbo on it. I have the quadzilla adrenaline v2 on it. I’m having a hard time building a daily tune that has decent power and doesn’t smoke a bunch or have high egts. Do you guys think it’s my injector/turbo setup or my tuning? Any help is appreciated

    So while my truck is in the body shop i'm sitting back thinking of the things I want to fix or replace on it during this overhaul i'm doing on it. For the past 2 years i've had a psi gauge taped fast to the steering column with electical tape and if i'm dumping this kind of money into a body job, shouldn't I be able to spend some money and get some gauges? There lies the problem ,right now i'm running a Quadzilla XZT module and only gauge I have is fuel psi. I've been wondering if I should go with a 3 pillar set up of fuel, egt and boost, or should I ditch the XZT and buy an Adrenaline with pulse and get the gauges that way. I know, more money then the pillar set up, but…

    Mike came over to my place and helped me do a couple projects. We upgraded my turbo from HY to HX. We also installed 275 injectors and did a valve adjustment. Did this in about 3 hours. Tomorrow I'll hook up my trailer and see what difference it makes. He also flashed me with his smarty. Now I'm ready for the high idle kit.

    I acquired a turbo from my buddy in a trade. The tag reads: P/N: 174430, MOD: S300G 071, S/N: F2205 1296. Looks to be a 57/65/14 Super B. It's in good shape, normal side play, no in/out play. After I get a built trans I planned on running an SXE 362 62/68/14 with 7x.012s. To save money would I be ok to run the 7x.012s with the 57/65/14 turbo? I eventually would get the 62/68 but just run the 57/65 in the meantime. And yes I do have a Quad with V2, just not installed yet.

    Now that I have conquered the front end on this thing, It is time to start saving for some fun stuff! I am pretty set on not getting too crazy with it, and I would like to maintain my mileage so the rv275 sounds like the right way to go for me. Just wondering where you guys have gotten yours, if you got the full injectors or just the nozzles. Also if you just get the nozzles are there any precautions I should be aware of. Chris

    I have an 02 HO/6 speed with 3.54 gearing. I am looking for better towing performance and economy. What is the best way to get there? I was looking at a Quad XZT+ and a set of RV275 injectors. I don't want to begin chasing the next parts needed to make the new parts work. Still on the stock clutch. That will be upgraded for a good towing/DD version when needed. The XZT and RVs is similar to an iQuad. Does the iQuad fit the bill for what I am looking for? I don't want to change the turbo now because of a new set of injectors or a tuner.   10. The new owner sent me these today of the nv4500. It was a built nv4500. A little sad that this chapter is finished. Deep down I know that was / is one of easily 10 fastest manual diesels ( if not better) in the country if you could launch it. If not it would be damn respectable. It’s back half was utterly ridiculous. Funny thing is the neighbor begged me to go to B.I.R and let him run it. I know he could launch it no problems. Incredible wheelman.     Basic Setup Engine: Stock with studs, Industrial Injection 62/12 turbo, 125 SAC injectors Trans: ATS low stall converter, billet input Goal: NO SMOKE, instant boost, and lots of spinny turbine noises.     Went to install a j-hook tonight and noticed my HY35 has a fair amount of shaft play and some oil residue starting to form inside the turbo. I read awhile back and again tonight that an HX35 will bolt right in, and help with egt's and give up a few more psi in the boost department. It just so happens I have a buddy with an HX35 sitting on a shelf in his garage that he said I could pretty much have, but he said it could probably use a rebuild. He thinks its off a 12v but isnt quite sure, from what I've read the only difference is the number of fins on the impeller, 8 for a 12v 7 for 24? As far as rebuilds go is it worth buying a rebuild kit and doing it yourself or sending…

  14. My plan here pretty soon is to go with a 62/68/12 or 14 BW turbo and possibly 150 vco or sac injectors. Ive talked to a couple sales reps and they said i should consider upgrading my springs and push rods as well. I dont feel like this setup would warrant the need to upgrade the springs and rods so I am asking for some input? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. This is my DD so the most important thing is reliability but I also want to have some fun from time to time as well so if anyone has any other build suggestions let me know. I do not tow much often enough to have build that is used for towing.

    Rpm is 2200-2500 shes been smoking more than normal. Smarty is on 9 3 3 3. Used to only haze over 1800 when really on it. Sac 100s are probably tired over 100k. Would they still smoke at higher rpm. I haven't pressure checked anything It makes nearly 40psi. Putting around rarely over 20. Egts never over 1200 around town egts are 400-600 cruising about 750ish. For some reason I suspect a boost leak. Just thinking out loud as I've been noticing a noticable amount of smoke that isnt normal .     So I changed the lash to 8 intake 15 exhaust. It still spools really good but not the jump I was expecting because it was a huge difference when I went from 10/20 to 8/18 so I thought 8/15 would be a big jump again on spoolup but I don't think it changed that much. I am thinking me cleaning the turbo and all the crap off of the turbine shaft must have gave it a big kick. I will say this though, it runs reallllllly smooth now. The power just rolls on perfectly, no points on the throttle that are more powerful than others, even down at lugging speeds. I might go back and set the intakes down to 6 and see what happens.

    Has anyone here had to replace their belt tensioner yet? If so at how many miles was it about? I had to down the truck for a week to get my ECM rebuilt by ACS and I'm doing other work to the truth. I was wondering if the the tension-er being OEM to the truck in 1999 is still good for years to go, or if i should replace it now.

    Hello Everyone, I would like to go on a few off pavement trips with my rig and would like to know suggestions on ensuring I make it back to the road. I am not looking for extra hieght per say, but any suggestions on from those who spend more time in the dirt then me? I am looking to tackle mild trails with all of my gear, nothing too crazy like rock crawling. As it sits now, truck is 100% stock suspension and rear has factory overloads. Thank you!
